Yes it gives results which are very important to investors, which have influence on shutting down a gaming division. It also puts a fire under a company's butt to step up and bring out more games
Damn, it's shipped why is that hard for people. MS sold to stores or shipped. Last time I checked it was a 400,000 unit different with the 360 leading, so I don't know where Famitsu got their numbers
The sad part is PS3 has the sales and the games now, so the 360 only has cross game chat, awesome.
Honestly the 360 really needs to release more games for the system, it's really just hanging on console content

Honestly you should expect this for a month or so, from the misleading advertising from MS. This isn't really a new tech just an evolved one. The money they put into their campaign should net them this result, but to break even they need Kinect to have legs, that's where this thing should be judged at.
Sony did their research, Kinect is riding high right now on the $500 million dollar advertisement. You would be dumb not to see the huge surge because of that. It's later on where you will see the difference.

Went to Best Buy today and everyone was enjoying Move while Kinect was all alone, don't know why, maybe it's better technology

Yeah but you were backing a product that had successful run for two straight gen. Kinect is based on a very bad foundation and a not so great past(eyetoy). It did sell 10 million but it's tech was limited. Look Sony did the research for MS already and they found out buttons are needed.
And to be honest the ps3 was following the same plan as the ps2, the news articles are very similar. I knew Sony was going to do well with the ps3 you just needed patience something game...
