Desperate? It's about damn time, the PS3 didn't have a pricecut for like 2 years and is still very expensive when compared to other consoles. If anything desperate is the price collapse of the 360.

So it's official now folks that VGChartz is overtracking the 360 numbers. Funny how their numbers exactly match this one, which are nothing but cummulated official shipped reports.
That 360 outsold the PS3 by 100k isn't a fact, the numbers are rounded and it can be just a few thousands. 100k is the max number 360 could have outsold the PS3 so the only fact I can see is that the cheapest console can't really outsell the most expensive one and the price difference is huge, you can get 2 360's for the price of a PS3. If anything the 360 is in trouble, MS better hope Natal will be huge, because we all know what happens once the Slim is out and the price goes down.

Fact of the matter is an independent Carmack was all the time preaching the PS3 version will be the superior one and now all of a sudden everything changed, even the disc number. I thought it can only work on 2 discs as it has 2 wastelands, oh well tsk tsk
