Yes. Haze was not hype much at all. A few articles how it was comparable to Crysis or Halo does not constitute it to be a hyped game.
Truth is everyone was looking at KZ2 at least on the PS front. If you ask main stream gamers about Haze and i bet you no one knows much about it. There were no mountain dew or super bowl ads.

You are assuming that Sony is copying/mimic Nintendo with this idea when.
1. PSV was shown first and will come out first
2. Sony already said countless times that the interaction between the two is a major aspect of Vita.
3. Vita PS3 interaction demos is at a very advance stage compare to the Wii U which we don't even know the price let alone the freaking specs.
