Completely agree. It's one of the sad things that started this gen. Exclusive or time exclusive DLC. What's even more sad is gamers buying into it.
It is very sad to see gamers treating time exclusive DLC like full game exclusives.
As you said. It's not about selling gazillion copies of games but rather having a wide range of games that will make the console appeal to everyone.

I hope the rumored $535 PS4 has a PS3 chip for real PS3 BC. If true that is the one i am getting no doubt.
Uncharted will be at E3 imo. KZ4 most likely.

Wow. Been gaming since the atari days and for 26 years.
There is very little chance of the next MGS being exclusive on PS4.
I fully supported the MGS4 exclusive because i wanted Kojima to focus on just one platform to create the best he can.
This time around according to specs both the next xbox and PS4 will be very similar so i think there will be little or no need for compromise in quality if dev on both platforms.
Besides every other MGS except for MGS4 is now already released on MS console.
You are looking at a 10hr video if they are to put most of the great PS games in.

Completely agree. Weird. A logical game journalist. They have been like unicorns this gen.
PS4 + Gaikai is what Kaz been trying to do with marrying services + Content + Hardware at Sony.
I really do believe that they will try and push Gakai to as many platform as possible.
The money afterall is in the services and content. Hardware is just the vehicle.

GG are said to be looking at a fantasy RPG. No worries about graphics but i do worry about the story.
GG really needs to hire good writers.
Don't setup yourselves for disappointment guys. Most like he will just showcase their engine on PS4 showing all the improvements etc.
I think they will show KZ4 and TLG to showcase the PS4. KZ4 for hardcore gamers and TLG for art.
Think about it. GG have not released a new game since KZ3 and TLG has been in development since this gen started.
The rest i think will be 3rd party with BF4 running on PS4 dev kits.

In terms of exclusive IP's no one can match Sony's portfolio.
Sony's been creating new ip's since the PS1 days that up to now dwarf's the competition.
Even in the PS1 they have colony wars, Mid-evil, ape escape, Syphon Filter etc etc and this not including all the ip's they have from the PS2 and PS3 era.
The problem is they just need to market them properly.
