A X-3 would cost much more than X and X-2 remasters did. The only reason it has taken X/X-2 HD so long is because they were barely even working on it during all this time. Most of Squeenix was working on all that FFXIII series nonsense.

Yeah, but was it a good story? Very debatable. People wanted a sequel to X only because they wanted to know what "happened" to Tidus (and because the ending was pretty somber) and look what we got...X-2, a game comprised 90% of mini-games and the plot didn't get good until the last chapter.
You make a good point though. XIII-2's story was just 'lolwat' and it still happened....
I don't think there will be a X-3. The story was already pretty much wrapped up in X-2, and the guy behind this audio drama said this is just a bonus that introduces a few new characters and lets people get a glimpse at what life is like past X-2 for the cast.
As awesome as Spira was, I really don't see how they could even do a X-3. Sin is gone, Shuyin got defeated, anything else would completely out of left field and ridiculous. But hell, I'd probably buy it any...
I got bored of this game before I even played it... Watched vids on youtube and began to wonder how this is even as popular as it was. It's just humans (players) running around finding random items, only to then go out and be douchebags by killing other humans who are also looking for random items. It's like the zombies are an afterthought.
Foxtrot still has a valid point. The fact that it comes with the strat guide is nothing more than a bonus. They deliberately keep hyping up these costumes in an effort to try to get people to obtain them at any cost, so why not make some extra bucks off the strat guides?
It's really stupid for this to be exclusive to the strat guide anyway. It should be in the game itself. I miss the days when bonus content was something you unlocked in-game, not something you had to fuc...

I dunno why people disagreed with you. I started up a new playthrough a few months ago on PCSX2, playing with the widescreen hack and internal resolution scaling for a sharp, crisp look (playing at resolutions higher than crappy 1280x720 on the PS3 version) and this PS3 version doesn't compare.

I've been playing with AMD and Intel processors for years, and AMD have always been good for gaming. The only time they aren't is for games that are terribly coded and only have one dominant thread, which Intel pulls ahead in due to their stronger single-threaded performance. Games like Starcraft 2 and (for a time until recently) Planetside 2, where the action slows to a crawl even on overclocked i5/i7's under heavy duress.
Take a modern AMD chip and overclock it...

Well when 4chan or someone went to Valve one day earlier this year, someone took a screencap of a monitor that had source code on it, and a few of the lines mentioned "Left 4 Dead 3" and "Source 2 engine". So it's pretty much coming at some point.
Team Fortress 2 didn't become F2P until like either last year or 2011. Before that, you had to buy the game.
They didn't add microtransactions to it until it went F2P. Thankfully the fact that you can buy things doesn't make the game unbalanced or anything.

It's yet another reason why I game on PC more than consoles nowadays.
At some point, various PS4 game servers will be shut down too. I'm sure the original Xbox players were thinking Microsoft wouldn't let them down since they had to pay for Xbox Live since day 1, but the entirety of the Xbox's online services got shut down and left behind anyway.
Not saying Sony would do the same, but you'll see servers get shut down later regardless of the fact you have to have a PS+ sub to play online. That's just reality...

Nah, servers are pretty expensive, especially when you're a game company/publisher and you're hosting a gazillion of them. They feel that it's not viable to keep the servers open when they don't have a decent level of traffic to compensate.
It blows, but that's how it is... That's why I love games that allow players to host their own dedicated servers in case the master server(s) ever get shut down.
Haven't heard anything out of Itagaki in a long time. Will be interesting to see how this game performs, will keep my eyes on it.
