Ever since CoD4, it's been a pick-up-and-play game. Sure CoD4 might've been the one with the least amount of ridiculous BS in it when you talk about CoD4 and onward, but that's not saying much.
I prefer "real" stuff like Quake and Serious Sam. CoD is fun to go dick around on with some friends, but I could never take it seriously.
Quantum of Solace and Bloodstone were both good games. I guess they flew under the radar, but I played the hell out of Quantum of Solace. I hope the next game is like Nightfire. That was easily the best one since Goldeneye, but Everything or Nothing (kudos if you remember this one!) was also a masterpiece.
I needs some more Bond action, especially since the next film missed it's expected 2010 release date due to issues with the companies involved.

The only reason I said RE5 was decent is because of the co-op. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have even bothered playing the game.
I think RE4 would've been better if they would've stuck with the alpha version of the game (go check it out on youtube if you haven't seen it yet). I didn't care that the zombies got replaced with the ganados, just that it was still more action-adventure than real horror. The constant escort missions also weren't we...

Outbreak File #2 was the last one that was actually survival-horror. Sure, RE4 was a good game, but was it really survival horror? Nope. And RE5...lol. Also a decent game, but still not survival horror.
