I think it goes more like a positive parabola, the starting price is high, then over the next years it drops and after some more time it goes up again and maybe even exceeds the initial price. Just go check ebay on some nes/snes/atari games, you'd be surprised.

Besides I think that that statement is just a PR stunt, so that the Wii would be considered in the same league as 360/PS3/PC and not just a "side dish" of gaming, which I think it is.
Either you want or you don't, but there still is a distinction between a casual and a hardcore gamer. And the first difference comes to my mind is that, casuals like "pick up & play" games, that deliver "fun" the first minute and are challenging yet easily beatable, while hardcores have fun grinding hordes of monsters in some rpg, just to get that one lvl more. Not saying that it doesn't work both ways, but majority speaks for it self.
But does this game seem childish or it's just me?

Dude, then I would like to welcome you to my country, but I still managed to buy myself a PS3, by paying for it twice what US pays and with having 1/2 of what you earn.
Were the hell is SMT:Nocturne??? DDS was good, but Nocturne blows away any rpg I have played to date and it's not a small list. And you can sue me too, cuz I really enjoyed FFXII. Thou I wish that I didn't sell my PS2 before the release of PES3 :'(

It seems not, cuz if you would, then you'd realize, that MGS was meant to be quadrilogy as GOW is a trilogy, but since you haven't played them, you wouldn't know. And FF is each time a different game, just with the same franchise name, same goes for GT and RR. But Halo 4 would be milking the franchise, as well if MGS5 would come out.
