I loved Deus Ex too and when it came to ranking, I must have shuffled the orders at least a hundred times. But in the end, while Deus Ex made me love the genre more, I went with what really got me into the FPS in the first place. Here's to crossing my fingers and hoping that rumor about Deus Ex going next gen coming true. Hehe.

Thank you~ I hope it does well because it might be a nice beginning console or "gateway" console to have for those who are just getting into gaming. That and having more options are never bad for gamers and consumers as a whole.

I remember drinking a lot of Jolt Cola during LAN parties to stay awake. That stuff was so vile, but it totally did the job. (Probably because it made me too queasy to sleep?)

Once you go Black Ops, you don't go back!

p.s. DAFUQ did I just read?

Yeah, I didn't include Sackboy because I thought he was popular enough on his own. XD

I'm pretty much filled with self-loathing every time I look at my current video game plush collection. On the other hand, I can't wait for my Metal Slime hat to come in! XD

What if Chuck Norris made an appearance? JK. Like I said, I no longer play the game, but if they do a movie based on the Warcraft lore right, it could still be pretty interesting.

It really is. It's a combination I know I would have never come up with myself, and the crazy thing is, it works. But, the best part of the whole process, other than a great artist getting some recognition, is that it's helping to bring back the art of woodblock print making as well (which was unfortunately disappearing in Japan).

Gah, another good one. So hard to make a top five sometimes. Poor Pikachu might be losing his place soon if this continues.

That one was a great commercial for sure. But if they were going for realism, they should have shown the Dragonborn punching the dragon in the snout, because let's face it, we've all done that at least once. ;)

I made sure to add it to my big list!

Yeah, The Burning Crusade was actually challenging and adding meaty content unlike Cataclysm. Even at 85, Sunwell isn't a snooze fest, and one of my favorite things about WOW to this day, other than dancing male Tauren Druids.

@Beate ~ Agree! (I just fail at replying once again.)

It's not that I want to see Acti-Blizzard crash or fail or anything extreme like that. I've enjoyed a lot of their products in the past, and I still do.

But I think it's been a long time coming for WOW to start losing steam, and allow us opportunity to see more non-WOWesque titles come out on the MMO scene, because as long as it sits on its throne, companies that want to make an easy buck are...

I'm happy (?) to announce that Activision Blizzard managed to buck the trend slightly and actually reported a net income. Unfortunately, the games that helped them buck the trend were all "sequels." Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

If it's not dying, at the very least, the main stream industry is going through a metamorphosis, whether it wants to or not. While aging technology does play a part, gamers are also turning on the industry because they demand (and deserve) better than blatant re-hashings of a former title, or a rushed and incomplete, play-it-our-way-or-GTFO "MMORPG".

Let's take for example, the "Final Fantasy" franchise. For the most part, I truly enjoy it, howev...

I pulled it from the report for you but this what it said under the Game section of the financial report:

"Sales decreased 14.5% year-on-year (a 10% decrease on a constant currency basis) to 118.0 billion yen (1,493 million U.S. dollars). This decrease was primarily due to lower sales of hardware and software of the PSP® (PlayStation Portable) and PlayStation®3, partially offset by the contribution of the PlayStation®Vita introduced from December 2011.'...

Cardio is the Rule #1. Also, the Wii Nunchuku are good for a garotte, and the Balance Board is a pretty decent shield for both defending and bashing zombie skulls in.

That's true if you're willing to get the heck out at the first sign of shamblers. But if you're on the move all the time, I'm not sure how much play time you'd have between avoiding them and escaping the fast movers however.

On the other hand, if like in this particular scenario, you choose to wait it out in your trusty command center and hope for Shaun and his trusty cricket bat to come save you instead, you might as well get some cardio going. Plus, Wi...

The thing about sexy is that it's not just about a rock hard stomach or dashingly good looks. In the SCV's case, you can't even see their faces, and I'm not even certain if Krogans can have six packs. In this case I went with general "bad ass-ery" = sexy.

I completely agree. Video games happen to be the scapegoat of the decade, just like rock and roll and comic books have been in years past.

If anything's the problem it's the addiction itself whether drugs, gambling or gaming, and addictions usually only come about because of external stress or internal turmoil. A normal person doesn't just wake up saying, "Yup, totally getting addicted to video games and ruining my life." Rather, they retreat due to o...
