That's the one I practiced singing for hours and hours (yeah, I admit it). But I thought the Boat Song was more touching, at least for me :)
There are so many games on the list that have a whole lot of potential. It's really hard to choose sometimes. I'm gonna' go check out Contrast now though for sure! Thanks for the suggestion.
Head start began on the 25th, but the official launch date is the 28th of August.
Well, they did originally say Summer of 2012 so...it's definitely possible. If that happened I would so love and hate Runic at the same time. Well okay, mostly love. <3 <3 <3
It's totally redundant however, a lot of us have been waiting for an inkling of a release date for quite a while now. This just means we're that much little closer to some Torchlight Co-op/MP.
At the time of writing, a payment model had yet to be established.
The community manager for their forums posted this though just today:
"There's no official word just yet! Know that the game is to be released on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network, but aside from that nothing 100% official has been announced.
Once we've got all the details together, we'll be sure to let you know."

I can't believe it's been close to 7 years since DOA4. Holy cow, I feel old. When you look at comparison shots from then and compare them with the newer screenshots from DOA5 it's like...whaaa!? Can't wait!
Do you think that the game measures up to other AAA releases?
I'm pretty excited to see how this develops too. The movies that inspired it (Moon, Event Horizon, 2001) are some of my favorites. Plus, always nice to give the little Indie guys a push too.
I played FFXIV at launch, and for a few months after. The game was beautiful, and you could tell there was a lot of thought put in to try and make the game 'Final Fantasy,' but not too much 'Final Fantasy.' Unfortunately, the strategy of distancing itself from the franchise coupled with unforgivably clunky UI and controls, and lack of any real story like FFXI had, just lost my interest.
Shortly after, Square Enix issued that public apology which is why I'...
I know Nathan is a fan fave to play him if there ever was gonna' be a movie and I wouldn't mind that choice. But looks wise for Nolan North, no. Unless Gerard Butler or Nathan Fillion did the acting and then he did the voice acting for them.
Out of curiosity, are there any female gamers out there who will not be purchasing the game because of Hemingway's nickname for "Best Friends Forever"?
Personally, I'm not at all offended by the moniker because I'm quite sure it wasn't meant in a harmful way. If it was something like the "Girls Suck So They Need Help" Skill Tree, then of course. But I read the original statement and I felt it was more of a sexist joke which backfired mass...
I'm going to pick up the game too. Seems like too much ado about nothing. I almost feel bad for Gearbox, but I suppose any publicity for an upcoming game is good publicity, right?
I wonder if designer Hemmingway will get in trouble though....
There's not a lot of info on it yet, but there should be some coming out of GamesCom that's happening this week. I'll keep checking in and if I find anything out, I'll definitely post!
Really appreciate the detailed response. Thank you so much for reading and responding to my ramblings. Would like to respond in kind:
1) I gave A an example as something that could provide more than a snipe spot. I don't believe it even has a flag on Console, but regardless, it's a spot that could have a lot more significance just for what it is.
2) It's possible to say argue for the case of environment providing another facet to competition pl...
The rumor's been confirmed as of this morning, August 13th, 2012. You might be able to find out a bit more at: http://www.neogeox.com/home...
I'm curious to see what else will be offered later on down the line too with this little handheld like full reworkings of the classic titles and/or exclusives even. As it stands, it still seems a pretty nice "memory lane" niche device.
Thanks everyone for your comments on what games to add. Looks like I definitely have a lot of games to check out and revisit. (Red Faction is downloading as we speak.)
I'm out of bubbles with this one, so I can't respond to everything that's been said (though you're absolutely welcome to comment directly on the post and I'll answer), but I will say that the games I chose for my list have a lot of meaning to me, just like the ones you guys have listed hav...
That's on my list to go back to in addition to the first one. I never got to when it came out (my computer was pretty sad back then), and I heard it was what Deus Ex was inspired by. Like StayStatic said, if Steam or a similar outlet were to re-release it though, I'm so there!
Nier really has some amazing music, music that's often over-shadowed by the soundtracks of Square-Enix's "other," more mainstream titles. Really recommend checking out all of it, as I feel it's so much more than mere "game music."
