I think what needs to be "patched" are the games that don't include the option to turn off the soundtrack of the game. You can't play music if the other music that plays won't turn off. The option to patch custom soundtracks into your game has ALWAYS been there and has been included in games like super stardust and high velocity bowling.
I'm certain that uncharted is getting trophies. They even updated it for home support and rumble I think. Ratchet might not get it since insomniac is working on Resistance 2, but I'd really like it if it did. I was thinking of playing uncharted again yesterday anyway, but I think I'll wait until I get the memo that it's trophy compatible, so that the progress I was currenlty doing that day won't go to waste.
I'm sure the upcoming games will support trophies, even the 3rd party ones, the only released games that I want for trophies are MGS4, Warhawk, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Call of Duty 4, and etc. The only one I don't think will get trophy support is COD4, infinity ward doesn't seem to give a crap about anything they won't get paid for.
If viewing full screen pictures prompts you a question if you want to leave the game, I'm guessing in game browser and videos will require you to do the same. I'm more so excited about the in game music, trophies, and for some reason, the clock.

Alot of what makes me go through MGS4 fast on BBE is the fact that I have an idea already on where the enemies are and what I have to do to get passed them. Whereas on my last run, I had to take time out to find out and look around for alternate routes.

I'm currently doing the boss extreme difficulty and I have to finish it in 5 hours. It involves a crapload of trial and error. I had to remember every single thing I did last time and do it effortlessly without stopping. I also had to use the solar gun, which I didn't even have on my first run, I had to unlock it.
It helps as long as you're not playing MGS4.
People thought the NA version was censored in favor of getting a teen label.
Sniper rifles should only be one hit kills in games if it hits in the chest and up. If you can shoot someone in the leg and kill them they'll complain about and it'll be hard to get around them.
Halo 1 was a really really great game. halo 2...no. Halo 3? yes.

It turns your gaming into somewhat of an RPG in itself. Ign believes trophies are better than achievements, but surely you are far more credible than them.
