Lol. great analogy. I feel the same way. I have always enjoyed halo and considered myself a Bungie fanboy, but when i noticed i couldn't care less about destiny, i realized that I wasn't actually a bungie fanboy lol...
Do you not understand the concept of preordering? You get BF4 when it comes out and you get BF3 now. Duh?
Exactly. And any real fan would remember the fault line series and be grateful for a full 17 minute video right off the bat.
very good point!
lol what? did you even read my comment? Here, I'll put the important part right here "And you can't get used games on PC so it can't block them in the first place."
also, what are you going on about here: "My point is you can play used games on the steambox."
You are one of a very few people who "will not buy any system that won't play used games." but, hey. To each his own, right? If you miss out on next gen be...
MIIVERSE?!! NO WAY!!1!1!1
Wth are you talking about Lol... AFAIK there is no official steambox. And you can't get used games on PC so it can't block them in the first place. Steam games are dirt cheap and they have huge sales all of the time so used games are unneeded.
Do a lot of people still buy used games? I don't know anyone who does. Im not trying to be an ass, just legitimately curious lol. If I want a game cheap, I wait a few weeks/months for it to go on sale.
duh?
It says "Find the latest news, videos, and trailers for Battlefield 4, EA and DICE's award-winning first-person-shooter available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC." BF4 hasn't been released, so it obviously hasn't won any awards yet. This is talking about BF3.
I just don't see why people think this. it doesn't HAVE to be always on! If you unplug the power cable or turn off the power strip your xbox is plugged into, it's not going to explode! you'll just have to download updates when you turn it on again. It's there as a convenience, not to force it on you. If you are concerned about power usage or microsoft spying on you (which they probably will lol), unplug the damned thing! they will probably have an option in the settings to...
Actually, it will be way better, provided the hard drive is at least 500 GB, and the install while playing feature works well. Otherwise, it will be a massive pain in the ass. The read/write speed of a hard drive is loads better than a DVD/Blu Ray Drive (which means faster loading times). Just look at the PC, almost no one buys physical copies of games anymore, and this will be very similar on the next xbox(if the disc isn't required to play, unlike the current system with the 360).
lolwut?
64 sounds good, but it becomes very overwhelming. 48 is the best for me, but obviously everyone has a different preference.
lol another person who doesn't understand any technology
or maybe some accessories...
You can see where all of our xbox live subscription profits are going... down the shitter with all these awful "TV" apps with crap programs. All you need is Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon prime, maybe YouTube, and thats it.
Well, I don't mind having lots of media apps, but if it doesn't perform at least close to the level that the ps4 does, FUUUUU MICROSOFT
No. GDDR5 is based on DDR3. Speaking in terms of PCs, GDDR is memory used by the GPU and DDR is memory used by the CPU. The xbox 360 uses one pool of GDDR3 for both, so the concept of using unified GDDR memory is nothing new. If the next xbox has 8 GB DDR3, it will probably have a separate GDDR chip with memory for the GPU. DDR can store memory in a more compact space than GDDR and won't be replaced anytime soon.
I just don't understand people. If you are paranoid about microsoft spying on you or you want to wait to download really long updates until you actually want to play your xbox, UNPLUG IT! Microsoft can't disable your xbox if it isn't always online.
