People would most certainly not flame as much. I guess when people stand for a particular side, they don't want to see advertisements "all up in their face" about something from the other side. Imagine if you will, what it would be like to have a multi platform Halo...
With all do respect, what makes any of those other stories more spectacular or less cliche?
What gets you all hot and bothered about it?
It doesn't need to be a movie to have a deep thralling universe. Believe it or not(and I am not saying Halo is) you can find cinematic quality in games that can rival what you see on the screens today. I don't limit something just because it is a game or movie. To me its all entertainment, and it all builds worlds.
and personally, there hasn't been a great Star Wars film since RoTJ. Hell, KotOR was better than all three recent films combined.
as long as there are Star Wars games.
I want something new from Bungie, but by all means more Halo. Just not the same experience, a good example is Halo Wars. I mean hell, would you ask LucasArts to stop making Star Wars games?
And the helghan dont look like Power Ranger villains?
This type of detail applied now to a game, not just simply interactive entertainment. While I am really excited about this genre, I have a feeling a few of the less informed gamers will end up buying Heavy Rain thinking it is something its not.
I too was wondering where KotOR was!!
Was in the 90's.
But Halo 1 deserves to be on that list.
new hardware each system is putting out.
You also left out a few games.
Spend money on a completely different system then? Why? People aren't made of money and used PS2s at this point aren't reliable. But if you've got that kind of money you wont mind buying us all one would you?
I too have wondered this...
What exactly are you saying "Hi" to?
A well deserved victory.
1. Combat is most always the same, classic turn based
2. Terrible voice acting.
And a bonus third thing
3. Similar art styles(they always seem to have an underlying, organic look). I mean really, there is something about them that makes them contain similar traits visually.
Dragon Age is not KotOR in a fantasy setting.
totally different, closer to KotOR.
Putting aside the setting, there are aliens taking humans and using them for the most part as a puppet force on earth plus somesort of cover up, so on so forth... How is that so much greater than; a group of alien species tied together by religion, seeking out ancient technology which is supposed to lead them on a "great journey", and in their mindset make them gods, finding out that said ring is a weapon to starve a parasite species that has long been dormant, which later leads to ...
