There is going to be a lot of people disappointed when they actually find out what type of game it is. Ill be getting it, but I am aware of what's in store.
I guess we will never know how much better KotOR2 would have been if they had been able to release in February as opposed to LucasArts forcing them to release in December. I guess I am just bitter(they do want to make an honest to God KotOR 3 afterall), I will give this one a shot though. Funny how Obsidian are the go to guys to make a sequel.

a KotOR 3!!! At this point Im not that pumped about TOR, I would rather want a solo adventure that is as good if not better than the first.

To add fire to the flame? Afterall, not one fanboy group is greater than the other(im not going to label an individual as a fanboy of either system). Im just really disappointed that this generation, it seems to be all about graphics or casual play(Wii).

I agree and both disagree with you. While I do want to feel immersed in a living breathing environment, I dont need the gameplay before I can love the story. Hell, take KotOR for example, I feel in love with the story and was hooked by the time I got to Dantooine, didn't like the gameplay too much until a third play through.
Second example is Advent Rising, it is the story that made the game memorable to me, nothing else really hooked me before and after completion.
With a perfectly rounded package? One aspect shouldn't be sacrificed for another.
To get through a game with less than great gameplay if its got a great story. I personly want to see more powerful and complex stories in games. To me its another medium to tell a story in, one that shouldn't be limited just because its another form of presentation. I don't know if its there yet, but whats to stop a video game from joining the ranks of movies and books in terms of narratives? I don't think a single damn thing.
