Whenever anyone brings this up, the usual reply is "you're paranoid" or "why would they want to spy on you", and act like its some conspiracy mumbo jumbo, but it makes sense, its all about the money. If they can spy on you, figure out what you do or don't like and use that data to maximize their profits then they will. Its not always as sinister as people make it sound, its all about money.
