@omi25p
DRM, is a stupid idea because DRM has no advantages to the consumer. Please don't delude yourself into thinking any of it was for the consumer. It was to control all sales of games by funneling used sales through the hoops MS had planned for.
DRM and cloud computing had nothing to do with eachother.
You say what the family share plan would have been like. How do you know? Did MS reveal it in detail in private? They had every oppor...
Thanks for reading. Yeah, I felt compelled to write this when I kept hearing how Joel was being seen as the "bad guy."
This is hilarious. It's so sad.
So PS4 is "under-priced" and people will see the value and purchase accordingly? Judging from the tone of your post I am assuming you're an Xbox One proponent. And if so, did you read what you said before you clicked "Add reply "
Edit- nevermind. Not to self. Read all comments before replying. Lol. See that? Irony.
Thanks for reading! I didn't include CoD, which if you look at my avatar you can tell I'm a fan of, because I'm getting it on PS4. I wanted to keep the lists to the current gen, even though Alex cheated.
I honestly don't, but the interest is there. The same cant be said about the Wii U. That's all I'm really saying.
Or you could just cancel/restart development and tell people it wasn't up to snuff. Like Bethesda does but somehow gets crap for it.
Considering that Amazon said PS4 was selling pre-orders at a rate of 2500 per minute and the launch allocation sold in out 48 hours, that's over 7 million pre-orders. Even if only 50% actually follow through, that would be more PS4's sold on launch day that Wii U has sold in 6 months. And this is juts Amazon's numbers. Add in Gamestop, Best Buy and anywhere else and it's much higher.
As a spin-off VS XIII would be fine. I can totally understand how fans of the proper numbered FF games are disappointed with this turn.
The only problem is that a HUGE part of the PS2's success was they DVD player. At the time the format was relatively new and I know for a lot of people it was their first DVD player. Bluray hasn't had the same impact and now with digital becoming an ever growing alternative, I don't think Bluray will ever reach that level of install base.
I do think that PS4 is going to be hugely successful, though. Just not PS2 successful.
@THE-COMMANDER
I am aware of the crafting, my complaint is that the game gives too many bullets when they shouldn't have. It butts up against the world they are presenting. And since they had so many bullets in the world, logic, based on the world they presented, would dictate that Joel would take every bullet he could find.
As for the partner AI, again, it breaks the immersion when I see Ellie running into a Clicker or a Hunter and they don't move. I...
@Utalkin2me
"In a basic puzzle, one is intended to put together pieces in a logical way in order to come up with the desired solution"
"a toy, problem, or other contrivance designed to amuse by presenting difficulties to be solved by ingenuity or patient effort."
Trying to get Ellie from point A to point B is a puzzle by the definition of the word.
This is the extent of puzzle solving in the game, and whi...
I agree that being able to carry more ammo would kill the tension. Having so much of it lying around is my issue.
But, again, I'm playing it on Survival now and this seems to fit much better with the overall world-building. Too bad this mode needs to be unlocked after the first playthrough.
@utalkin2me The game definitely had puzzles, that they were so insignificant speaks to my point, so thanks! ;)
@gribblegrunger Fair point!
Thanks for reading. It did! The story is a masterpiece and the gameplay isn't.
If I were scoring both it would be 8 for gameplay, 10 for story, 9/10 is in between.
;)
Thanks for reading! Of course now Greenberg is saying the 1 hour thing is false.
It's because it's developed by ex IW members that it can more directly compete with CoD. It's very much like a futuristic CoD. It's different but has enough of the same elements that it will easily attract die hard CoD players. Like me. ;)
Destiny looks good but it didn't really show that it was bribing anything new. It's a much more dense game that will need more information to get across its scope. But nothing about it seemed to even be targeting the...
Word of mouth is what set Call of Duty ablaze and made it the go to game for shooters on Xbox 360. I've seen Titanfall live, not the canned demo shown in the video and the presentation and I can safely say, the word of mouth on this game is huge. It's easily the most talked about shooter. Even more than Destiny.
Thanks for reading! See my reply below. In short BF isn't the same kind of game that CoD is. Titanfall very much is.
The sad thing is that people think the verbal backlash from the internet was the reason why they did the reversal. It was because of the low pre-orders. They saw how bad it was tracking and they made the right decision. No amount of signatures, real or otherwise are going to counter those numbers and this decision.
The media helped educate and make the Xbox One as unappealing as it was. If all of these proponents of the original, horrible policy would have pre-ordered the Xb...
