Just to continue the tradition of making no sense with their numbering system.
Been playing for 50+ hours now with buddies the entire time and none of us have encountered this so "chances are" it's not as wide-spread as you're making it sound. Don't get me wrong, there's a handful of technical bugs in the game to complain about but this is the first I'm hearing of this so it's probably best not to rile up the mob until it becomes more common.
It obviously sold less by being exclusive to EGS but the hard truth is that it didn't completely bomb because of EGS which is what the Steam fanboys wanted to happen. Now the goalpost will move and they'll start saying "well initial numbers don't mean anything and it's all about concurrent players over a period of time" but they'll never admit that the average player doesn't care about exclusivity on a free game launcher no matter how much they cry about it. ...

They should just rename the service to “Assassin’s Creed and LEGO Games with Gold” at this point.
I came to say this exact thing but snarkier. Fans of Xbox have already been “won” by Microsoft. Making more exclusive games is the only way to win non-fans and they don’t seem to understand this. Recycling the same IPs will also not work since if those franchises were a selling point then they’d already own an Xbox One. And BC will only get them so far until even their fans begin to question why they bought a new Xbox One if all it does is play old Xbox 360 games.

Same here. Wii U is the only Nintendo console I've skipped (unless you count Virtual Boy) and while there were many games I wanted to play, it never fully convinced me to buy one. So I'm glad they're bringing the best to the Switch (which convinced me to buy one on day 1) so I can play the ones I missed out on.
The timeline aspect is new. We knew they were coming but we didn't know many of them would be released within the Switch's first year.
Also let's not pretend like the 360 had a humongous library of exclusives. This benchmark isn't that difficult to surpass if you think about it. The last three years of the 360's life before X1 released they had about one (maybe two) exclusives per year and most of those were trash like Gears of War: Judgement and Halo Wars.
Here's what Sony needs to do: world premiere more than 1 exclusive AAA game and they've already done more than MS. It's nice to see progress from games they announced last year but in terms of new games, MS had almost nothing to show so it should be easy to 1up.
Better to release games late than never (I'm looking at you Fable Legends and Scalebound).
Also wasn't there a report recently that both Sony and MS release games at about the same rate after being announced but MS cancels more games? Or maybe it was the other way around. I'm sure someone can link to it.

Nobody is arguing that it's a bad feature and nobody should have it. If a console maker wants to implement it then that's on them and I'm sure most of their customers would appreciate having the feature. What is being debated is whether it is the great console seller that the MS side is touting it to be.
The 500 million hours statistic doesn't disprove the 1.5% statistic so if they're both true then it further supports the argument of the Sony side that ...

I think most of the older generation (born circa 2000) doesn't care about graphics or "cartoon" graphics because we witnessed the evolution of video games. We grew up with pixel graphics of mostly cartoonish characters so we're able to accept those artistic choice by developers whereas the younger generation has had "realistic" graphics since they can remember and see those same artistic choices as childish. @bluefox Yes we know the petition is fake but there are still people truly outraged at the concept of this game. The trailer has only been out for a couple of days so it's only a matter of time before Fox News or Alex Jones catch a glimpse of it, play up the outrage, and get people all worked up. Then a REAL petition will go up and we'll have to deal with the backlash.
The top 50 are pretty good picks but then I got to Fable 2 and it made me question the entire list.
