Nintendo had various mini-Directs and Indie World showcases throughout 2020 so this argument is bull. The last Direct announced WAY MORE new games than this State of Play yet somehow the fanboys are still defending Sony and bashing Nintendo. And just because Nintendo showed two games not releasing in 2021 doesn't erase the dozens of games they showed that are releasing this year.

Post any positive news about Xbox on N4G and you'll see what actual rabid fanboys look like. Sony has the most toxic fanbase. And I say this as someone who's owned every PlayStation except PS5 (simply because I can't find one).

He turns himself into stone for fun so I don't see how that's a problem for him. And who are you to say it was a canon mini-game or not? His race against DeDeDe is also a mini-game in that same game yet it's considered canon.

And no, it's not BS in his Wiki. It's actual "feats" as you call them that he's displayed in-game. They do seem ridiculous as all hell but the point is that they are all canon. Like it or not, the goofy little pink bal...

He punched a planet in half and defeated a boss that was an actual entire universe. All in game. All canon.

Edit: Also he's extremely durable. He survives a direct attack from a weapon that is shown can slice a planet on accident and survives the explosion of a different planet.

Also he destroyed an object that held the power of an entire dimension in a game.

Except Kirby, canonically, has unlimited potential. In theory, he can steal Sephiroth's powers and be just as strong as him. Or just swallow him and send him into an infinite void for all eternity.

During the launch of the Switch, 3 of my friends and I had agreed to camp out at a Best Buy to snag a few consoles. 3 of us showed up at around 4:00 pm but our 4th friend didn't show up at the time we agreed. We called his phone for about 2 hours until it stopped ringing and instead went straight to voicemail.

At this point we started getting worried and started calling his live-in girlfriend but she wasn't answering either. A thing to note here is that we knew that...

Then remake the first 2 games so a new generation can play them. They obviously have new assets for a lot of the objects already so it can't be that much more work.

As a console gamer, the only reason I've played HL1+2 is because I actively sought out the Orange Box for Xbox 360 and the port of HL1 on PS2. Without my efforts I would have never had the chance to play them. I'm sure that's the case for many people.

They have a very fitting website name though. Do they consider themselves gamers?

Proceeds to name 3 games that are included in almost every Genesis collection/compilation.

Avoid the clickbait. This same site posted an article saying the exact opposite about 3 days ago.

Yup, paying $20 every 2-3 months for a chance to get premium items after putting in hundreds of playtime hours is definitely better just paying a one time charge for the one or two items you actually want. Think of the sense of pride and accomplishment you get out of giving devs more money for something you already paid for!

You misunderstood me. I know that was the tagline for Pokemon when it first released but my point is that that slogan is no longer used by Game Freak to promote the games. Unfortunately it has been so ingrained into your association with the Pokemon brand because of the anime, card game, and other merchandising that even after the creators of the property have stopped using it to promote the game various people still hold it as some sort of promise by the devs to include 'em all.

Technically the slogan of "gotta catch 'em all" isn't anywhere on the box or on any promotional items so you've only yourself to blame for your high expectations. Being able to catch them all in a single generation hasn't been a thing since the Ruby/Sapphire gen so it baffles me why so many people were expecting it to be different this time.

Rarely do games ever keep the same full roster of characters between iterations, especially when that count ...

Rock solid debate you've made there. You've totally convinced me as to why I'm wrong and you're right. I should have known better than to make a compelling argument with personal observations and valid criticism when it could all be undone with 3 words. You are clearly the better gamer here and my opinions are stupid.

I don't think people are asking for a complete overhaul of the formula. I've put in about 10 hours now and I am constantly amazed by the lack of effort that was put into modernizing the game at all. A game on a console that can play Breathe of the Wild no longer has any excuse to not have fully voiced cutscenes. It has no excuse to have the most basic of animation during those cutscenes. No excuse to still have graphics that resemble something coming out of the GameCube era.

You need to up the difficulty if you think combat isn't challenging enough. I'm currently playing on hard and getting shot or hit more than 4 times is almost always instant death so I have to preemptively think about how I approach every battle.

And very rarely in most RPGs are more than a few skills ever cohesive with each other. If you're playing as a melee tank, then there's almost never any reason to invest into the intelligence/magic traits. So to point...

Because MediEvil was a clunky mess even 20 years ago while Spyro and Crash were not. A turd with a shiny coat of paint is still just a turd.

It's like if someone remastered Superman 64 by just updating the graphics but not changing any of the flawed game mechanics then expected 10/10s because they stayed true to the original.

2307d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

If the basis of your remake was already a 9/10 then not modernizing any game mechanics doesn't hurt it because the game was already good to start with.

MediEvil has always been a 6/10 game at best so they desperately needed to change something in the remake to modernize it but they failed to do so.

I remember completely hating MediEvil back in the day because it felt unpolished compared to Crash or Spyro and it seems like they've done nothing to i...
