The Circle Jerk is real. The gaming industry has changed as a whole and you cannot sum up how bad it is right now with just one company, except people love to assume things and are often too lazy to provide an explanation. Rare made some stable decisions along with their most boneheaded moves, so yeah lets put generalizations aside.
Good games in general want to be supported on multiple platforms. Not really a matter of moving back or forth, just saying.

I loved this game, playing it today gives me motion sickness though.
Unreliable beast but, this along with the Lynx had incredible ergonomics despite being hardly portable.
Except that's out of pure reception and not for the long term.
If your console is either:
A) mistaken as an add-on
B) actually losing support over the years
C) isn't dropping price after two years
