I agree with Lukas. The AI in GTAV was nothing special. When I think 'improved AI' in a next-gen title, I think of the Nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor. I mean, not even that was really all THAT special, but it was a great starting point for the future of gaming AI, and it gives us something to look forward to. In GTA V, though, it's just more of the same.
I don't think Microsoft have to do anything... they're doing alright. Took them less than half a day to be up and running. Sony, on the other hand, were literally down for days... they have a long way to go.
Financially, for them, it SHOULD make sense to dump some money into helping mitigate future attacks. Sony stated they'd be using our PS+ money to better their services, and they have yet to do that.
I happen to know for a fact that Sony d...
Will he fall through the architecture of my home? I don't want to invest in this if he's going to end up behind a wall and a good 6 inches into some insulation.
Frame rate might be fixed but I doubt they're going to be able to fix the horrendous pop-in. Not game breaking by any stretch, but it's certainly going a long way to break immersion. And if they fix it... well, it'll probably be after most people who are going to play Unity actually finish it.
It's extremely coincidental though, the timing of it all, isn't it?
Unity is in a state that likely can't be fixed. The frame rates are sluggish, they couldn't accomplish much by patching the game (and even, allegedly, reducing some of the performance tad), and that pop-in is likely always going to be there.
Ubisoft have also distanced themselves from DLC. That whole 'we're doing the right thing by you, by giving you free DLC and...
It was one of my favorite indie games ever. But I respect your opinion. Everyone has different taste.
Is it the future? We're already there. Nearly every October and November game had some degree of issue. Not all, but most.
Can't say that was my post-patch experience. I got into my first game alright, but it was unbalanced. Took slightly longer to find a second match, but still much faster than before... but the game settled for 3 vs 3 on a really large map, and when the round was over, the game hung on the end match screen. Once it was clear it wasn't going away, I had to back out to the dash and quit the game. There was lag, too, which wasn't my end.
343i still have quite a bit...
Actually, I did point out Sony and Evolution's issues with Driveclub. Scroll down a bit on the blog (not that much), and you'll see it:
http://bytesizeimpressions....
Continue to read down my blog and I've pretty much called out everyone for everything. I've taken Microsoft, Sony, EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, and probably others to task.
Anyway, ...
I'm not saying Ubisoft shouldn't be called out, nor am I defending a downgrade... but I'm saying that these bullshots compared to the actual in-screen game shots aren't the same, and are an unfair comparison. That's all I'm saying. Do the textures look bland, if not downright terrible? They do. Is there evidence that supports downgrade? There is... I'm just saying that we can't make fair COMPARISONS based on what was used here.
They're not even comparing the same things in each of those shots... There likely is some downgrade, which is par for the course when a dev shows off a game vs what it actually looks like at release, but this isn't A/B comparisons we're seeing here.
This was allegedly supposed to be a Batman game set in Nolan's universe so, for them to pay Batman a nod is really no surprise.
It's in the Xbox One section as well because the article moves on state that the Driveclub issues has driven a gamer to the competing Forza Hoizon 2, which is a great game for anyone who also owns an Xbox One and needs a driving fix.
have to be inclined to think that WAS the official policy. Also, when they came back to respond, they didn't say anything about it being a misprint. It was on the official Playstation blog, after all. What they did come back with, was "If you have #Driveclub PS+ Ed & Upgrade, we'll ensure you keep full game access even if your PS Plus runs out". Considering this whole affair has been 'promise this and deliver something else', I think it probably isn't too...
It's really too bad. Would be a great way to turn a lot of people on to a game they might not have tried otherwise.
Knack certainly isn't 'perfect' or anything, but it was a fun like game that took me back to playing the likes of those RARE N64 games, but in the style of a Pixar movie.
You simply CANNOT call games you've never played a disappointment... I mean, games that aren't even out yet are on this list. Games that NOBODY has had a chance to really play.
Seriously?
Kojima said 2015 and there have been various rumors that it would be coming in Q1 of 2015.
I hope it isn't right... because my poor wallet!
In today's day and age, with how much dev time they put into something like Mario Kart, we should have more new tracks than this. But surprise surprise, more 'new' tracks are coming via DLC!
And the roster was a ton of repeats and a lot of baby versions of the characters we know and love. I think they could have done better.
Wow, defend them a little more.
They are 'giving' people five days of PS+... but there's been quite a bit more downtime in 2014 as a result of their failure to mitigate DDOS attacks in a timely manner... a lot more. The only reason why they're issuing five additional days for this SPECIFIC time period, is because they don't want to piss off all the new PS4 owners.
