I had a hard time reading the rest of this article after reading "the team behind the great World at War." I have high expectations for Black Ops and so far it looks to be excellent but let's be honest.. WaW was freaking terrible.
It seems more like a poor attempt at the best of both worlds..
After owning BC2 and playing the MOH Beta.. they are the exact same game.
Yeah, we'll see. It would be nice to have a "job" where you have to cover events like this...
This was posted by a member of the MP reveal twitter list compiled by Josh Olin (which only has attendees on the list):
OneOfSwords There is not a live video stream of the presentation, but the information will be blogged/twittered by the media. It's a press event.
Am I the only person who has absolutely no interest in this or Kinect? They're as gimmicky as the Wii is/was.
How is it a loss?
If 6 people normally pay a total of $300.. and only 5 of the 6 people pay the new price of $60 per member.. that's $300. No negative impact is the worse case scenario.. new members with each big multiplayer release paying the higher fee is best case scenario.
Yeah we'll see how it turns out. I am hoping for something great. While I am one of the suckers who buys and plays every COD title, if this is done right it could see some major sales without having to go head to head with Activision because of its new take on war.
It's getting pretty annoying that everyone keeps referencing the story told in the MW2 campaign as a reason the game wasn't that great.
I personally love MW2 and still play it all the time for the multiplayer but there are plenty of reasons not to like the game like glitching, hacking, SHORT campaign (not quality of story) but all the sudden an FPS is supposed to have a story equal to an oscar-winning movie? WTF?
The story was fine, not great, not ba...
I think there will be a demo as there was with WaW, not sure about multiplayer though. It sounds like there will definitely be a Beta, though. If they do, I hope it's much better than Medal of Honor was.
I also sold this game after owning it for 3 or 4 days.. everytime I tried to play, it would take FOREVER to load and half the time, when it did load, it would get stuck viewing the map from above while other people were able to play. Got tired of not being able to play it and got rid of it. Hopefully, they've fixed all of the server bugs by now but they should have had that stuff taken care of on day 1 since they knew the size of the game they were releasing..
Still, 200 for the XBox, 20 for the HDD and 40 for XBox Live, a 260 dollar total, was still cheaper than the $400 for PS3. Immediate gratification, not long term investment. Hence the reference to the impatient nature of gamers.
apparently I'm an idiot and when I click agree or disagree, I do, rather than my iphone showing who agreed or disagred. Disregard my agree and disagree on the two comments above.
Haha I did like the little screens. If you think about it, dreamcast and ps3 are similar in that they were both expensive and lacked early adopters. Although, I don't think PS3 had the same programming obstacles.
There hasn't been anything on a sequel in a long time.. I thought the first ME was great
How is this stuff even being submitted as gaming "news"? What makes this website any different than my own video game blog? Nothing, other than the insanely annoying worst of and best of perks articles.
Seriously, this is a case of someone who thinks perks he doesn't use are unfair while those he uses are "essential." One Man Army? Not fair because people can camp and keep reloading their ammo. Scavenger? Essential because it lets me refill my ammo. WT...

The reason people are commenting is because most people, like you, gave the game a 9. Everything has been said. I'm sorry you're mad that no one cares about another high rating. I don't like the game, so what? That impacts your life, how?
I still think people will pay.. for all of it. I'd rather pay 60+30+45 on a game I will play for endless hours than $120 on two games I won't play nearly as much.
You mean the 85/100 metascore?? Maybe things have changed but getting a B is nothing to write home about.
