Halo 1 was definately better for single player, but i want halo 2 just for the multiplayer. Clocked in over 11k multiplayer games on that bad boy and would love to play it again. It would be awesome if it was released on the halo 4 engine - halo 2's netcode would be considered piss poor now.

As veni says above, you'll still have a console specific dash, it may or may not be based on the windows 8 kernel but costs don't come into it as the won't license there console os on there own console lol.
Yes it will cost them money but that's no different for any console manufacturer - that's just part of the costs for developing the console. How many times have MS charged for 360 dash updates?

We have two 360's and two ps3's in our house. My kids and I use the 360 online constantly - the last game i even bothered with online on the ps3 was pacific drift. Yes it played well, but honestly, we love our shooters and for that you can't beat a 360 and live (halo\COD\MW\gears have kept me entertained enough.)
I do enjoy Sony first party games but don't play them online (i.e. uncharted 2) as multiplayer just seems to be bolted on. Yes i could buy multipla...

Gears was a trilogy.
This is a new trilogy and you know nothing about it. It could be an FPS or RTS for all you know, but of course N4PS3 Gamers aren't happy.
I for one love the gears multiplayer and would prefer to play a new gears online every year rather than another cod. 360 multiplayer games keep me happy (we have 2 360's, 2 ps3's and a wii in our house so no i'm not a fanboy - quite the opposite).

If its a first person shooter like halo then i'll be buying it and enjoying every moment on it. It its an MMO i hope it fails and bungie go back to what they good at.
