Hmm, perhaps the writer needs to investigate the DX11 style command buffer ring, that allows any of the 3 CPU's to issue commands to the GPU. It's fairly new, and yet to be seen in any major engine. It's also something the PS3 can never ever do.
It's also why Epic said that the firmware is allowing new things on the 360.
Really a stable frameate? Its about the only thing I was disapointed in. It doesnt look at all stable to me.

Much the same could be said if Sony could pull GT5 and GOW3 out for Xmas releases as well. That would be win for them for sure.
However, only one of these companies has a history of announcing games the same year they are released, if Alan Wake, Forza 3 and Splinter Cell are shown, I would fully expect them to be released in time for Xmas.
Sony on the other hand could show us GT5 and GOW3 footage, and most of us still would be none the wise...

Apparantly, if you announce games 2-3 years before their launch, what you get is, the ability for the fan boys to say that the games are all going to come out in 2008, sorry no 2009, sorry no 2010.

The issue is, people use UE3 because its stable fast and gives pretty good results.
Take that aspect, and consider what Sony are doing, they developed their own tech, keep it to them selves and share it only amongst 1st party devs. Thats fine, if you want you console to have a clear demarkation point between 1st party stuff and everything else.
