This is the first shooter I've let him play, partly because it is somewhat cartoonish. This is a mass appeal game. Of course it would not be "the best" according to hardcore gamers like us. The summer blockbuster movies are not the best movies (in my opinion), but they are fun. Just like there are no perfect movies or cd's. Nonetheless, these types of entertainment get perfetct scores all of the time and you don't hear music fans wine "but it's not perfect". If all other forms of entertainment can get perfect scores, why can't games. In fact, game reviewers tend to be harder on games than any other form of entertainment. No it's not perfect, but it is better than 99.9 percent of other games. That means it's a 10.
The 360 has gotten 2 games in the top 10 of all time just in the last month or so. Not to shabby.

How few xbox people are taking jabs in the post. If this were a positive xbox article, some of you (and other sony fanatics) would be all over it. This is usually the norm. I like Halo allot. However I am much more excited about UT3. Nonetheless, I will buy Halo on day one. Halo, COD4, Mass Effect, Brothers in Arms, and others will keep me plenty busy until UT3 comes out.
PS. My boss (a psychologist) is a halo nut. He has a small 2 story office building with 4 connected 360's with HDts. Halo is the only game he plays unless playing games with his kids at home (yes, he has a 5th 360 at home).
UT2004 is my favorite multiplayer game of all time. I think this is why it was delayed for the 360. I'm sure MS is ok with UT3 being released later for the 360. Had they both been released this fall I would have probably gone with UT3 and gotten a used copy of halo later. So, because UT3 is delayed, I will be getting halo on day one. Sales for both games would have suffered if they would have been released this fall.
THPS had gotten stale. I have an 8 year old son. It's one of the few games we can enjoy together. This is the main reason I have kept playing them. Also, Project 8 was allot better due to the slo-mo trick thing.
I've had a 360 since shorlty after launch and have been very happy with it. My first one did break but a new one was shipped within a week. Anyway, you can research all of the pros and cons to each consonle. I'm not going to open up a can of worms here.
bioshock(x360/pc) - 6-7 hours- You know that's not true. you couldn't finish Bioshock in under 10 hours if you ran straight throught the game. It took me about 22 hours.
Gears was short but not as short as your saying and as far as replay, it is the most played xbox live game.
and I like skate even more. It really does feel more like real skateboarding. Just read some of the the previews. I generally agree with what they are saying based on playing the demo. Have fun.

This can't be true! I can't believe it. I've been waiting for this game ever since I heard about it two years ago. I guess I really made a mistake by purchasing an xbox 360. Oh well, I will just have to trade it in for a PS3. The failure of this game has utterly shattered my faith in the 360. Boy did I make a big mistake.

Wake up. It's not that good. Waist your money if you want but there are other games out there that are actually good (even on the ps3).

Skate rules. I haven't played anything else (excep Halo) since it came out. If anyone wants to skate online my xbox live accouts is the same as my username here (MyNameIsNotRick). Also been playing Halo Multiplayer so look me up for that also. I need some xbl friends for these games. I mostly play evenings after about 9:30 (Indiana).
