I was not overly fond of the past AC games but I loved AC 3 a lot! Past AC games were repetitive and had really bad cutscenes. The story was good but the presentation was bad.
This was fixed in AC3 and free roaming was no longer a bore now that you had so much to do. The story was just a little part of the game. There was a homestead story, a story on the naval missions, a Captain Kidd story, being able to decorate the house by crafting, crafting a extra holster and double barrel gun...
I'm still waiting for more games worth buying for the Vita. I had my hopes up for both Uncharted and AC: Liberation, but they seemed disappointing and as I had a PS3 I was just fine with AC3 and the other Uncharted games instead. (I'm sure they are good games but not as good as they could have been)
Gravity Rush and Persona 4 looks very interesting but I still need a last push in order to get a Vita.
What made me get the 3DS was future Zelda games and KH DDD....
Agreed! What is important here is that those who have played the beta already know if they are going to get the game or not. I loved the beta but I think I'm going to wait for a price drop as I already emptied my wallet.
Probably a perfect christmas present though!
I have not ever played a CoD game, but you can't mean it's on the same level as Heavy Rain, Kingdom Hearts, Mass Effect and Red Dead Redemption? If it is then I'm buying it instantly.
Wrong.
@grailly
I totally get what you are saying as RDR is the most giving gaming experience I have had in years. I keep coming back to it.
I can see how the start was too slow for many, I guess I just was in a very good mood when I played it. Or maybe my AC fanboy hype shield repelled how the game really were. I still liked it though.
I made it to the tree climbing yesterday and it was a lot of fun so I agree with u there. It might have been better if they...
The combat has new controls and although it does look the same it doesn't feel like it. You also have to watch out for red coats firing at you, if your not fast enough finding cover or using a human shield u can easily die. This may sound boring but it is fun and a little bit more strategic.
It's still a bit automatic though and it's not too challenging. Hope they tweak it even more in future AC games.
Wow. I actually think the first hours was storytelling at it's finest. The only problem I had with the previous AC games were that they were repetetive and although they had a good story they told in a uninteresting way. Both these things were now fixed and to me this is one of the best games this generation.
I'm only on sequence 4 though so a lot can change.
I have always liked slow beginnings, it always makes the story and the characters much more real. Just...
300 is a lot, 1000 is sick. I have fun with All Stars too and as I said they are two different games. Read the whole text next time you comment.
Haha, love doing that!
Yes it will. It's already up for pre-purchase on the PS store.
How? I see u listed a lot of arguments to back up that statement.
As someone who played super smash bros for a good 300 hours after it came out I totally get what he's saying. It's almost impossible to explain though. But I guess both him and me is already too used to SSB to be ready for something new in the genre.
To point it out very simple on how I feel: It does not have a deep learning curve as in Smash Bros. And what I mean by that is that in smash bros it is chaotic just like PS All Stars but if you know the other characters ...
@Ayabrea123
What I mean with not being able to predict the opponent makes it more of a hack and slash and then be lucky to get in hits. You can dodge but the dodging is not as deep as it is in SSB.
In SSB when you can predict people it makes a much more deep learning curve. You can predict what your opponent are gone do and then u can dodge him and then counter. So if you are 4 pro's playing against each other it is very strategic. That is something you can't...
Can you point out how PS All Stars is more technical and deep than SSB? Interesting with a other opinion.
I guess he was talking about when everybody went all inFAMOUS 3 on the first clip. Though there were other hints that people just ignored like the gun from MGS Zeroes and "Saru! Get You!" from Ape Escape.
It's either a new Micheal campaign or PS All Stars. I'm still thinking PS All Stars though.
What I can say now as a Super Smash Bros veteran is that PS All Stars Battle Royale is not a complete rip-off off SSB. It plays completely different.
Although I felt it wasn't as strategic as SSB, and it felt very much like just jumping around and be lucky to get in a hit because reading your opponent felt impossible. I know that sounded a bit stupid as I have not played the beta too much and it is just that, a beta. It was fun though and I will buy it, but compared to SSB it didn...
It is not the bar from Micheal and you are ignoring the other clues. it is NOT inFAMOUS 3!!!
First one features cole from inFAMOUS, "Sara! Get You!" From Ape Escape and the gun from MGS Zeroes trailer.
Second one features the "Dear Copernicus" thing which is Captain Quark from Ratchet and Clank. Symbol from Uncharted and the sign of the back of the car which is from Jak and Dexter.
This means Snake from Ground Zeroes, Ratchet and Clank, and Ape Escape is confirmed for All Stars Battle Royale.
It would probably be rated a bit higher but SSBB would most probably get the same 10/10 scores it got because it had 500% more content, did a lot of things that were new and made some things better.
