I've played as an astronaut in a game... but it was No More Heroes 2. I REALLY like the idea of an underwater survival horror esqe exploration game, that seems to me to have the biggest chance of doing something different and creating a unique atmosphere to do it in. Underwater should be the new terror location next gen.
I could see maybe not so much a crash as a failing of the triple A system overall. I see prices going up, content being reduced and sold seperately and single player being seperate from multiplayer and vice versa. Couple this with indie devs and kickstarter bringing low priced and fan funded games to the masses and being a larger company starts looking less profitable. Companies like EA and Capcom are going to start closing or shifting their business strategies (Capcom and Squeenix are now m...
I would love to see some things mixed up with the Zelda world, I'm always in favor of trying new things with franchises. If anything I would like to see some deeper storyline and character interactions with a large explorable world. After Wind Waker and Skyward Sword I would like to see a more vast and sprawling overworld again and maybe some reworking on the puzzle system. I'm still confident whatever winds up being made will be fantastic so I have no worries for the next Zelda game....
Thanks for being an awesome person, I'm gonna go check that out :]
The most salt.
I fail to see how a demo can convey the worth of a game like this, it's like saying 'Did you see the first ten minutes of Superman?! That whole movie is great!' The stories from Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain were pretty ridiculous and convoluted, most 'choices' didn't really affect the game all that much or wound up causing the story to make even less sense. I hope Beyond gets it right but I have very little faith based on past endeavors.
Hope someone is kind enough to do a review before it comes out so I can find out how much David Cage fails at being a game designer.... again...
Eventually releasing games and game elements that break upon arrival is going to start affecting sales in the industry. How many games have released this gen tht have just been a complete mess at or around launch period? Corrupted saves in GTA 5, The Simcity fiasco, Borderlands 2 with it's rank glitches, Mass Effect 2 corrupted saves, SKYRIM and all its awfulness, the list goes on and it's a pretty big list. I've stopped buying most games at launch because of these kinds if issues...
I kinda liked Bullet Witch too. It was really broken but there were some good idea mixed into the awful.
What they're trying to do with it is awesome but the design is what's hurting it, that button placement looks AWFUL for lots of genres. Taking your finger from the concave pads to those buttons next to the screen will cause problems for shooters, third person perspective games or pretty much anything that the camera is controlled by a right stick and a character by the left stick. For bringing the computer experience to a controller.... maybe, but the console controller experience loo...
What's that noise?!? Oh, it's the collective groan of grey market ebay dealers across the world.
Where is Nintendo in this article? The low price point on their systems and their handheld could hold alot of appeal in China. The Vita Tv would probably do REALLY well patrly because of it's low price point and from being a portable console.
I'm sure RE 7 will fix the whole thing on mobile as a free to play microtransaction mess.
I've lost every game of 'kiss or stab' I've ever played...
There was a Punisher game where torturing people in sadistic ways was one of the main gameplay elements. Has anyone ever played Manhunt? Have we just forgotten about the Hostel movies or Saw? This is controversy for the sake of website hits, not discussion. If your worried about torture then write letters to congress instead of talking about violence against polygons.
I was watching a live stream of the game being played and it looks pretty awesome. They're lots of snippy quips about 'I'd rather have (X) take a dump on my (Y) while my mouth is filled with (Z) than play this' after dying, the gameplay looks like Mega Man and has a huge NES nostalgia factor, and it also has varying degrees of difficulty for the true sadists or the rather inexperienced out there. This looks pretty fun to check out whether your a fan of the nerd or not!
Japan really isn't missing out on much, their have only been a handful of western rpgs that have been worthwhile this gen. The west however has to miss out on good stuff all the time (FF O, Phantasy Star Nova)
I've waited...for a single player PS... since I was 8... GGGGGRRRRRRRR....
I don't even know who to be mad with at this point. My choices are SEGA for not localizing or deciding to make this game any sooner, the western market for pushing away so many releases from the east in favor of COD style games, myself for not learning japanese or the internet for bringing this news to my eyeballs in the first place.
I'm think games are ready for realistic VD gameplay mechanics surrounding the catching and the subsequent (if you have insurance through Liberty City Medical) treatment of that disease. There should also be special stripper lice dodging mini games at the clubs in the more run down parts of town.
Kinect has detected motion lotion audio. Would you like to buy a mood candle screensaver for $4.99?
