This game looks insane and might scare the crap out of some people.
The title says it all. It's just missing a word, " Battlefield 4 Will Display Next Map After a Round, About DAMN Time." I hate not remembering the map rotation and having to look at the server settings to see what map it is next.
Look at EA; Madden, NFS, NHL, NCAA ... all these titles are just tiny updated recycled games. So it's not surprising at all, that people would love COD.
Personally, I will play COD for the single player storyline and trade it in. Will be on BF4 mainly.
Not a surprise really a lot of gamers might not be adapting over to the next-gen consoles as of yet. Next year will probably tell a different story.
I think the only thing that's surprising me on this list is Tales of Xillia.

There is a huge difference between the PS4 and Gaikai compared to the XBone and self-publishing. One is technology the other are silly policies. Microsoft's self-publishing policy is all politics, called greed.
Some people want to start playing BF4 as soon as it comes out. I know personally I want to buy BF4 on my PS3, then get it on the PS4 and have all my stats transfer over. So I am hoping that DICE can tweak their servers to pull this off.

Glad my PS3 PS+ account will transfer over, which leads me to believe our usernames will also. I'll be getting; WarFrame, Planetside 2, DCUO, War Thunder, Blacklight Retribution, DriveClub and SecretPonchos.
That's at least 40GB's of space gone on the PS4 HDD. Good thing it's upgradeable, but I doubt I will ever max out the 500GB HDD.
Well they already said the next-gen console versions will be running at 60fps & 1080p.
Well honestly it's servers. Systems crash all the time without gamesaves, that data, for all unlocks and information is stored on their servers.
I figure it would be too much of a pain to have the servers update that way. So I am cool either way, will still be buying it on PS3 & PS4.
Would be nice if it did.
I hope they updated the Battlelog, so it doesn't count against me as a win or lose for games I join as soon they end. Of late I have been in a lot of those. And no stat resets.
Don Mattrick was like Reggie Fils-Aime he just talks and tries to sale the brand. He wasn't helping develop the software/hardware. He sold the message that engineers, strategist and analyst helped him sale.
It might have been a stupid idea, but they weren't all his. All M$ is doing is spin control now and looking at where it's competition is excelling and changing suit. Which is smart and still risky.
I am not surprised at all, I knew this was going to happen. Especially after the DRM & Always On backtrack.

Thanks for posting that link. Which is why a lot of Indie Dev's haven't been showing love to the XBone. Now they change their mind and want to say hey, "we never said we wouldn't allow self publishing we just didn't say we would."

I hope they allow PS3 gamesaves to carry over to the PS4. I think the PS4 version will be a lot bigger. That's the version I really want.
I think when most of us heard the title COD: Ghosts, we all assumed we would be seeing or playing as Ghost. Especially with the announcement trailer. I mean everybody wearing a mask and then that Ghost mask they had.
Just look to crush DA:O and forget DA2. DA2 wasn't horrible, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as DA:O.

I think you said it best, if they can pull this off it will be massive. This is a must get on the PS4.
I hope it happens. It's well deserved, BF has been constantly upping it's game with every installment unlike it's competition. So with BF4 I hope they blow the competition out of the water, in not just game play, but the entire package.

If you think M$ made these changes because they are making these changes based on the consumers opinion you're kidding yourself. M$ is making changes based on their pre-orders. They are actively making changes to fix their PR.
I will wait to see what M$ does before I get an XBone. I still am a little fearful that they will change their minds and turn their DRM switch back on.
