Well if I were to buy a console based on games and past consoles, looking at the Wii compared to PS3, I would go and buy a PS4. That might be how people approached it idk. Or some might just not want a tablet sized controller, kind of like that Surface tablet flopping around nobody wants. The 2 companies are making both just hoping to sell, and off the mark with what people really want IMO

One thing I've noticed between both the PS4 and X1 lately is that all the stores I go into have an insane amount of floor space for MS as opposed to Sony. Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, and Walmart all have more space devoted to the X1. This, obviously, means more sales because the stores had to buy more. ...
