What you are writing is not logical LMAO.
Dec numbers for NPD are not even out so what are YOU talking about?
IMO it won't be announced for either system. Doesn't make sense. MS with the sales they have had and Sony with the losses and recently released PS Vita. You have a $250 system releasing next month but plan to announce about a brand new console while trying to make money on the current console? Doesn't add up. See you at 2014 E3
Wow Sony as a whole is only valued at $18 billion?
"Sony, worth $100 billion in September 2000, is now valued at $18 billion, compared with Cupertino, California-based Apple at $364 billion and Samsung at $137 billion. Last month, Sony predicted 90 billion yen in losses in the year ending in March, reversing an earlier forecast for a profit of 60 billion yen."

IMO it doesn't matter if it has dual analog sticks. I still don't see it moving units.
same here.
COD has been released on handhelds before, you need to read history. Does not move portable consoles.
ShabbaRanks,
So the excuse is the Tsanami that hit Japan last year but effected Sony but not Nintendo during the holidays? What are you trying to say?
Dante112,
You need to reread my response and I didn't specify anyone in THIS discussion was responding as a fanboy. That was more for the general public which majority DO respond with fanboy remarks.
Thank you for responding without the fanboy BS. Much appreciated. Disccusion is actually fun.
Well when everyone here is praising how the first week of sales in Japan was higher than the PS2 back in 05 and then reports that Sony shipped ADDITIONAL units to store for demand only to find out that a full week of sales only mounted to 72,000. Although I do agree this does not mean the Vita is doomed. But, the first week was not what anyone expected. Nobody is wrong with discussing the drop from 2 days on the market vs a full week. No one has this problem when any other device not Sony...
THIS and learn folks. Good post.
No they will not announce a console in January or this year when they still have Halo 4 coming. Doesn't make sense to advertise a new console when your top exclusive is coming in September for the 360. Yes I am assuming they MIGHT offer backwards compatibility but why would anyone want to purchase the new system just to play the older games. It is just stupid if MS did announce it. IMO I see the new system coming in 2014.
How the hell do you come up with some nonsense like that? I mean damn I thought we were done with the most idiotic comment of the year and yet here you come at the last minute to shoot right into first place.
It isn't being announced or even a chance to be announced at CES or 2012. Greenberg has already gone on record to state at the Spike Awards it isn't being announced.
My point is the fascination with handhelds in Japan isn't going to be the same with the U.S.
This is Japan we are talkig about. Different story in the US.
This!!!!
What I am waiting on as well. I am in the beta and hope to get HBO Go soon to test out.
Weird cause I am still playing MW3 vs BF3. I don't need to lose sleep if you think it is better. I am too busy playing games.
I am on the side that these companies are looking at profit. Nothing points to why MS or Sony need to announce a new console at E3. Some of you think they have not shifted tatics to focus more on profit. People here worry about how many was sold, who has what exclusive. Sony is an $18 billion company that went down from over a $100 billion 10 years ago. They are not going to release Vita next month just to overshadow it with an announcement at E3 this year. It would be stupid. They still have...
