I am active duty Air Force and work part time at Best Buy. I don't have a Vita because I know my time will be limited like it was with the PSP when I got it. The issue isn't just price or the economy. It doesn't fit in a lot of consumers lives and it fell in the same issues the PSP had and that is me too ports on the handheld that I would rather play on my 360/PS3. My time is spent more on my consoles, gaming PC, IPad and IPhone.

The downside to a hackable Vita is no more support from 3rd party. What happen to the PSP is exactly why the Vita has had rocky support with 3rd party. IF that becomes the case then Sony needs to kill off the Vita because this is a worldwide issue now with not selling and software not selling or pushing Vitas. Add in a possible hackable Vita then it is done.
As expected Vita drops from the 50,000 sold down to the same levels the following week at just 14k.

It isn't just about the games anymore. Nintendo may have those games that have already or are coming to the 360/PSN but Nintendo doesn't have an online structure we know fully about. Those gamers on the current systems using Live/PSN are not going to be easily swayed just because they are now offering the same games. It is more than about just being a game available on their system.
