@beerzombie The Kinect 2 refresh rate is only 30hz which is too slow to be used in VR. The PS4 camera by comparison is 60hz at 720p and is 120hz at 480p. It seems like Microsoft is pursuing AR instead of VR though.
Neat, good luck everyone.
Except Knack got 3/5 stars and Ryse got 2/5 from them, that's pretty crazy. Ryse is also only around 5 hours long, half the length.
This sorta defeats the purpose but you can also use the Vita as just a remote play screen and then use a dualshock 4 to control it. Though you must stay within range of the PS4 to use the controller.
Resogun and Contrast are free for PS+ subscribers anyway fyi.
Yeah exactly! I've been saying this for the longest time now. I even asked how people would feel if Knack got reviewed higher than Ryse. This is arguably the Xbox One's flagship game.
November 13th in NA and November 22nd in Europe.

I really love the time period Ryse is in and it COULD be a good game. There's a lot of important information missing though and I suspect it will continue to stay missing until the game is released. Has any real information been given about the length of the single player? What if it's only 5 hours long? The multiplayer doesn't look so good so is that enough value? Also, the combat looks pretty repetitive. Regardless of how "cool" it looks in a 30 second video, imagine d...
No, the graphics engine was co-developed by Sony and Capcom. This game is exclusive entirely to the PS4, just like Dead Rising 3 is exclusive to the X1. It's not coming to the X1 at all. Personally I'd rather have Deep Down, I love online co-op games like this.
Nah, according to the FCC files the PS4 temperature ranges from 5 to 35 degrees celsius. The PS3 was 45-55 degrees in comparison. So it's 10 degrees cooler at it's max than the PS3's lowest temperature.

At least this is bringing up the baseline for multiplat games which is always good. We don't really know what the CPU is clocked at in the PS4 though. Plus the GPU still has a 500 Gflops advantage in power, which still gives it a much bigger advantage. We'll find out in a couple months when the comparison videos/screenshots come out for the games.
I don't think this has to do with Vita Remote Play since the actual question says "Dear Shuei. Will we be able to do full game installs to HDD from disc (Disc present in tray for verification) on PS4?" If you still need the disc in you aren't going to be able to access all your other games from the Vita. Also, at that point what would stop you from selling your physical disc if you could still access it digitally.
It's going to be funny once these systems are out and every multiplatform game is better on the PS4. The comparisons are going to be that way this entire generation. The X1 is just weaker, which doesn't mean it won't have any good games. It's just that the 3rd-party titles will be better on the PS4.
I've always felt having physical discs has been important too. I plan to go full digital with the PS4 though, it's a personal preference after pondering it all over. Mainly so I can access all my games from my Vita no matter where I am.
I guess it's a combination of convenience, the fact that I rarely sell a game I buy, and it being a different form of game "collection". Just like my Steam library basically.
@gamertk421
As far as I know we really only have Amazon as real proof of what preorder sales are currently like. I'm looking at the "best sellers of 2013" on Amazon so far and the preorder data still looks like this.
#4 - Playstation 4 - Launch Edition
#7 - Xbox One - Day One Edition
#29 - Playstation 4 - Standard Edition
#71 - Playstation 4 - Watch Dogs Bundle
#76 - Playstation 4 - Battlefield 4 Bundle

It was mentioned on Neogaf that this picture could possibly have been photoshopped.
Look at these dates listed:
NBA 2K14 - October 01, 2013
Call of duty - November 05, 2013
and then the Xbox One release date:
November 8, 2013
Now wouldn't it be written as 08 instead of just 8 if the other games are in that format? This picture may turn out to guess the release date on pure coincidence of course. We'll know soon...
PS4/X1 version allows up to 64 players. The PS3/360 version still only allow up to 24 players.
To clarify your information, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions only allow up to 24 players.
Hmmm you didn't touch on the difference in GPU core count at all, which I'd recommend writing about. According to the technical documents which turned out to be factual with what has been announced, the PS4 has 1,152 cores and the X1 only has 768 cores. That's 50% more raw power to say it another way and easily one of the biggest factors for game performance.
That provides a huge advantage for the PS4 regardless of any of these other technical aspects you mentione...
Agreed, looking forward to the NPD this month.
