Any game that features a monkey is automatically good.
I'm not commenting about the issue of Metacritic as it relates to the gaming industry.
However, IGN just did this same piece just a few days ago. So either 1up.com can't think of their own material, or someone has an agenda against Metacritic.
BTW, I never use Metacritic. I know which reviewers I trust and I stick with them.
You can bet that Microsoft wants this acquisition, but its more likely the company will fall into the hands of Time Warner.
But even if it did fall into the hands of MS, it wont be a doomsday, end game scenario for anyone. Just more CoD exclusives for Xbox 360.
They say "you have to spend money, to make money."
This is a risky investment but it could pay off big time in the long run.

Engadget is entirely wrong. Apple and Nintendo have already made plans to capture the same content that will be on Ouya, making it basically useless.

2 SKUs at launch. Partnerships with cable companies. Streaming content like OnLine. VOD. All this and a tablet controller.
It has been done, several times. There are already Android media players on the market. They're cheaper, and they do basically the same thing as this machine.
Also, Korean companies are starting to include Android in their DVD and Bluray players. They're aiming for an "all in one" set top box. That will kill the market for this thing.

Its certainly intriguing... And there are still rumors that one of the big three is not going to release a next gen console.

I freaking LOVED this game at E3. It is the first genuinely scary zombie game since the classic Resident Evil games.
