Absolutely one of the biggest blunders in gaming history. They had the potential to change living room gaming as we know it. The whole concept was mismanaged from day one. Run by a team of absolute idiots. I don't even have to mention how much I hate that awful Steam Controller. They literally did everything wrong with this concept and the end product. It could have been so big, and now it's just another failure.
This company just knows great advertising. They're brilliant when it comes to the art of selling through visuals. Everyone else in the industry could learn a thing or two from Sony's ad department.

You're absolutely right, but I consider the Wii to have been in it's own sub market. Blue ocean strategy and all. But yeah, of the two "HD Twins" the PS3 was the weaker console.
As I have said before, the new Xbox One is significantly more powerful than the PS4K.
But that's still not going to help them win the console wars. Sony has always had the weakest console in every gen except for this one. Things are just returning to the status quo. Often times, and in most of history, the weakest console wins the gen.
