There's a lot of surprise games coming up this year. Also a few Wii U ports.

I genuinely feel sorry for people who just bought the vanilla PS4. Such a waste of money.
Nintendo won E3 last year with just one game. So I'd say Nintendo themselves just proved by E3 is important.
With that said, I'm deeply concerned about the future of the show. I have reasons but I'm not going to say why. And that's all I'm going to say.

This Switch isn't a true portable. It's a portable console. The 3DS still has some life in it. Nintendo is already working on their next handheld and it's not the Switch.
Sony failed to make a significant dent in the portable market twice. While the PSP sold roughly 80 million units and had 5 different revisions, it failed to move software. The Vita arrived DOA, despite being one of the greatest handheld gaming systems ever made. Ever. Still, it was a disaster. ...
