Why? Because people buy a system to play games that can only be played on a certain system. People by high end pcs to play high end games.. that can only be played on PCs. The same is true for the PS3 and the Wii. Both have games that can only cater to them, because of their unique system structure.
No, they are controlled reflections.. Like Uncharted had reflections on Water. Max Payne etc.. had refection on Glass. But that's not the only thing that reflects light. The key here is light reflection, it doesn't have to be a visible image.
Think about a waxed dance floor. That reflects light.
Unless they are controlled stunts.. they are NOT possible in real life. You can't turn a car 180 degrees and keep the same momentum. It's an abomination to physics. Try taking a toy car.. move it on a straight line. Then turn it 180 degrees as you keep moving forward. You will notice resistance. You won't be able to keep momentum and move the car around 180. That is why we only see these stuff on HOLLYWOOD movies. Because they are controlled stunts. FAKED.
Nothing agains...
We haven't had many games with real-time reflections. I think Uncharted had real-time reflections on water. But I think Gurrila is talking about real-time reflections on anything that shines and can reflect light.
If you don't believe me.. watch the trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
And tell me, you can do half of that in real life.
Your watching standard def images on a HD TV.. might as well have bought a LARGE TV. It's foolish to think that HD content wouldn't' look better on an HD tv.

They haven't announced many new IPs, or first party games for the X360. Yet they are making a new studio to develop games for Natel? Shouldn't Microsoft focus on making a few more good IPs for 2010, before jumping the gun? I mean, what games are we expecting for 2010? Halo Reach?
JAW DROPPED>>>>>> ;>>>
Really.. it's built on the MGS4 engine. So don't be surprised if this is ported to the system in a year. We already know, the PS3 can pull of 3D too.
Seeing as it's got released on the PS3.. I seriously doubt people who own PS3s even care. The vocal minority seem to be those who expected Prototype to outperform inFamous.
Microsoft stated you can play with this under minimal lighting conditions.. Hack they stated, you can play this game in the DARK. So why you would need a shiny orange jump suit.. is beyond me.
Unless it's the obvious reason.. Jimmy and everyone else were waring black suits.. the Camera has a hard time picking up darker colors. So they had to wear orange jump suits.
But they are probably using the higher price point to sell out the PSP 3000. It wouldn't make sense to put the GO in competition with the more expensive model for less money from a business stand point. But Sony should seriously consider lower the price point if they want to make a more direct impact.
Where is it SONY? And the DLC for Killzone.. if it's not priced right I won't get it. Frankly people aren't playing the other maps much. Probably because the price of the maps are ridiculous. Please Sony make these maps worth having.. lower the price point.
Like you yourself stated, Gamebattles is a part of MLG. Sony used MLG Gamebattles to setup competitions, but that is a PARTNERSHIP between the two companies. MLG would gladly host Killzone 2. The point being with MLG is it's sponsored by Microsoft, therefore you don't see games made by Sony.
So, to summarize. If Microsoft didn't sponsor MLG. MLG would have Killzone / Resistance etc.. games for competition. So thanks for making my point clear. :)
Yuph, thanks to PSL for making a proper article. Not sure what's going on with N4G.. they need to get their act together. And we need the system of reporting articles re-evaluated. It seems people / mods can fail articles without a valid reason.
It can be used for almost any sport games.. and Action RPGs would be good too. The only place I see this system having problems is Racing and Fighting games.. but those games have their own proprietary controls anyways.
Killzone 2 multi-player is some of the best I have played. The system is perfectly suited for competitive play. In fact Sony in partnership with MLG are actually having a competition right now. So your point is MUTE.

I am sure this can be implemented on Killzone / Resistance and possibly MAG when it comes out. Since it's true 1:1 controls, there won't be a need to adjust the software / games. All you would have to do is, correct the controls to fit the game.
I have always wanted a game like this.. should be a fun experience.
