it's pretty amazing how everyone is so sure the next Xbox or Playstation is going to be these astronomical powerhouses when the systems haven't been announced yet. Like I've said before if you really care about power get a PC, trust me the next generation Xbox or Playstation won't be able to hold a candle to it
Warrior Orochi 3 validates the author's statement, by that game being designed using last gen methods.
why did you go to Three Walmarts and Targets? just asking.
good video black nerd with valid arguments
why didn't Nintendo go hogwild on the on the CPU, because they didn't need to. There ace card it's the GPCPU. And unless Microsoft and Sony bring innovation instead of just better graphics my multiplatform of choice is going to be my PC.
like it or not Nintendo is in competition with Sony and Microsoft, with both companies having yet to even announce their consoles, it makes sense for Nintendo to keep some of their cards close to their chest. After all we all know how Microsoft and Sony loves to copy Nintendo.
I think it is very foolish to think nintendo would release a woefully underpowered system just based on it's cpu specs the big unknown is the gpgpu specs that devolpers will learn in time.
good job Nintendo.
no ethernet port, but if you want you can use a USB adapter. It is pretty dumb it doesn't come standard, but the good news is that it's N band compatible.
Because I already bought one, and aside from connecting it to my router issues it's alot of fun.
@darthv72 I couldn't have said it better myself. There have to be risk takers in business and Nintendo has been there since the beginning.
The Wii U will outsell the the next generation xbox and playstation. They will also have great 3rd party support. True graphic hounds will always have the PC,which the playstation or xbox can't compete with. As far as resolution goes most households already upgraded to 1080 HD displays and I doubt they are willing to upgrade again so soon. With the economy spiraling Nintendo positioned themselves well for the next gen race.
I bought it just for the pointer controls, the game looks and plays good enough for me.
Really? No Move support? Screw you Treyarch!
Love Metal Gear I've bought consoles just for metal gear, but I really want Z.O.E.
If people have been dumb enough to accept the MS point system this long why change now.
The Move is definitely an advantage over the DS3, but that should not be a reason for developers not to use it. Innovation should never be halted because it is better it should be embraced. Also the Move is not an automatic easy win, it takes a lot of practice to perfect.
"He noted that, with Killzone 3's online features, players using Move were too strong, and that balancing was needed to level the playing field between Move and DualShock players."
De Roos
Unfortunately that sentiment is why I think a lot of developers shy away from adding Move controls to their FPS. Fanboys who swear up and down that dual analog controls are "teh best evar" will cry and moan at getting owned by a Move user, so developers just ignore it...
I'm sitting at home with a broken leg and I can't seem to put the game down. I really don't care what the story is about I'm having tons of fun just going on random side quest. Sure the game isn't perfect, but am I having fun? Absolutely.
Finally someone who understands the business and tech end, and not just some rabid fanboy. +bubs for you.
Nintendo aparently to many here dismay has survived and contributed to the industry for quite awhile. I believe they've made a very savvy business move with the Wii U and understanding the market.
