Have you not seen a ND CGI trailer? It looks just as real as the Witcher 4 trailer yesterday… this is def in engine and you can tell since it looks just as good as The Last of Us games in engine.
Well even on a developmental level— they all say hair is the hardest to animate and get working in every scene. I bet it just keeps it easy! Lol also the actress herself is bald a lot in movies or keeps her hair really short.
Are you trolling? The best VR games in my opinion are in 3rd person. They just don’t get the mainstream marketing and are a lot more frequent with mods like VorpX and UEVR. But first example I think of that doesn’t require a mod is Hellblade VR.
My most hyped game for 2025 so far.
It’s not a “new mod”… it’s the same UEVR that works for most Unreal Engine games. I played Silent Hill 2 in VR on day 1 and it took me less than 5 min to setup.
Well yeah it tells you the difference— 1440p vs 4k for 60fps. You have to watch the video in 4k to see the difference.

Their marketing was horrible for the game honestly. I think that’s what killed the hype— it was my game of the year and totally didn’t expect it based on trailers.

Agreed. Gamers are statistically more male. Males will identify less with female main characters unless they have a tougher persona and look, and even more so for action games. Laura Croft, Ellie/Abbie, and Aloy are prime examples of great female protagonists. But instead give us a protagonist who uses her cute side kick and punches to take out armored men? That’s the wrong game. You’re talking about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra by Skydance Media. This is a totally different Black Panther game that actually features Iron Man too and is set in Wakanda.
I would rather play most games in VR if possible— UEVR, VorpX, and Luke Ross mods have shown that you can find way better immersion in VR games even with a normal controller. In fact, I prefer a normal controller as it’s easier to know the layout for which button your pressing and I don’t have to worry about charging them. Nope, there are not enough… and good ones at that. I can literally think of tons of other genres that have flooded that market, so why are we picking on souls likes? There is a new looter shooter or roguelite announced like every other day. We get like 5-10 souls likes a yr and only like 1-2 good ones.
I’m just happy for all the games to work in VR with the UEVR mod :) Most run with no issues.
