Insomniac's Spiderman game was not mutliplatform, the only thing it shares with other spiderman games is that is based on Marvel's comic book series character, so it's is not a sequel to begin with.
Hellblade 2 on the other hand was already in development pre-Microsoft requisition and is a *direct* sequel to a multiplatform game.
So its not the same thing.

Yes lets completely ignore what happened to Lionhead,Press Play,Rare, Ensemble Studios or how they influanced the Xbox giant game series such as Fable,Halo and Gears of War...so much for ''no meddling''.
I was especially pissed of how they treated Ensemle Studios back in 2008, since i was a huge fan of that studio.
And no, Sony is not jail-free from the same things, tho certainly not on the same level as Microsoft .

Every studio you mentioned has team A and team B, with B being the significantly smaller team. While team A is working on (let's say) TLOU 2, team B is already working on groundworks of another game project. Once Team A is finished with TLOU ...
Time exclusives are one of the worst concepts that currently exist in the industry (among other things like pre-ordering, DLC-s, exclusive content on specific platforms for multiplat games etc etc)
I'd still take a timed exclusive (even if it means waiting for a game a couple of years...i'll play it eventually on my platform of choice) to turning a mutliplat game into a permanent exclusive (Hellblade 2 for example).

I certainly did not buy my current and previous console iterations soley cuz of the exclusives. Here are *some* of the reasons i buy them (besides obvious reasons like exclusives,ease-of-use/user-fr iendliness and ofc wanting to support industry innovative first party devs);
1)Most of my friends of family use a SONY console.
2)Gamesharing both pyhsical and digital games via hand/PSN. Sharing PS plus subscription (meaning i don...
