did you ever play the resident evil remake on the gamecube? That was a stellar game and still looks/plays awesome now! A remake of resident evil 2 on the 360/PS3 would blow my socks off. Instant buy if they did that!

i was initially excited about the prospect of a FF7 remake but after playing the original again id say leave it well alone. The PS1 version is a masterpiece and still very playable today. A remake would have stupidly high expectations placed on it which i doubt ANY game would be able to fulfil...leave it well alone but by all means expand the universe a la advent children/crisis core etc.
there seems to be a distinct lack of PS1 classics these past few weeks...im still waiting for resident evil 1, 2 and 3!!
To be honest in my opinion i think Natal is critical for THEIR future. If they cant make any impact in a more casual arena then rare will become irrelevant in the industry. They took a pretty big fall from the top and i see this as their last attempt to crawl back up to a somewhat more lucrative position

If SE's biggest brand fails, heads will roll trust me. This could prove beneficial for us gamers as SE will go back to the drawing board, find out what went wrong and ensure that it doesn't happen again. im not going to get myself worked up about it anyway - still got ninja gaiden sigma to finish! (i know!)

ok iv just checked out the latest build on youtube and THAT impressed me! i only hope that other people wernt potentially put off by the older build presented here. I will admit i was quick to judge but can definitely look forward to this release now.
One thing im glad of though was sticking with my PS3 through 2007 and 08/09/10 have been VERY good to me :-D
@flames - ok ill accept that one. My question then is this - why would developer release a demo of an older build from 2009 if they have tremendously improved the graphics, it seems a little silly from the consumers point of view. I had never played a GOW game before this demo and while it was a solid game, i wasnt blown away the likes i was with uncharted 2, killzone 2, heavy rain, ratchet etc.

i understand thats its a year old so im looking forward to getting some game time with the final product. Maybe im being too critical...

ok...was i the only one underwhelmed by the E3 2009 demo? Played it this morning and while it was a good game, i didnt see any revolutionary graphics, nor gameplay. Blood textures that appeared to shift with the camera - quite low poly enemies, repetitive gameplay etc. Im a PS3 only owner here (amazing how i have to mention that here to avoid being flamed) and from all the hype and talk about the graphics i was left with a disappointing taste in my mouth.
Im sure it will be a fin...

These headsets just arent advanced enough. Where i work a company is developing software that is used with such a headset but all there are capable of measuring is 'meditation' 'focus' and 'anxiety' brain patterns. Therefore thought controlled gaming is still a LONG way off as the different thought levels needed to be interptreted would be too diverse for a 'real' gaming expereince to be controlled by thoughts. Possible in 10-20 years maybe. just not now...
free radical went under but were bought by crytek, now becoming Crytek UK...there is hope yet!
