i played the beta and was VERY disappointed. as a huge BSG fan i was really hoping to be drawn in, instead i found bland looking characters, confusing gameplay and none of the dark and gritty themes that defined the show. I know its F2P still, no excuses. It just felt very sloppy

i would agree with this however i had a couple of friends round and we were signed onto my PSN account and were looking through the store and decided to purchase pixeljunk monsters.

Having no money in the wallet we went to put £5.00 on the account. Selected add funds and the previously used credit card appeared in the list so clicked OK. The funds were taken from my card and put on my PSN account. No confirmation, no security check - didn't even ask me for the 3 digi...

im more of a console gamer tbh but iv really enjoyed Team Fortress 2 these past few months and definately looking forward to getting hold of starcraft 2. For some reason though for other types of games though, being sat so close to a monitor with a keyboard and mouse isn't that comfortable for me personally

im surprised this guy thought that the Avatar game would actually deliver. From my experience most movie games are mediocre at best - i cant recall playing one movie tie in that really gripped me

Android is a pretty good mobile OS, the only problem being the fragmentation of devices and versions of Android they run. With such an array of different devices/capabilities and OS versions I imagine that its going to get pretty difficult to develop for and push it to the max without people running it on a lower end device and bitching about the performance.

ok i believe iv said something similar before about the GOW3 demo but im constantly surprised that devs continue to use old builds for demos, especially with the point of a demo being to SELL THE GAME.

I came away from the GOW3 demo feeling pretty disappointed, only to find out it was quite an old build - luckily some people on here pointed it out to me and i purchased anyway and was pretty amazed by the quality.

Would it have been that more difficult to use ...

look up breakdown for the xbox to see a first person melee game. Never played it but heard it was pretty good!

well their input shows just how out of touch they are. Not thinking anyone would like it because all xbox gamers only like shooters....then for it to do pretty well sales wise FOR A LAUNCH GAME i might add means they misjudged their audience completely. then to stand up and say they should have scrapped it is retarded. yes rare, throw away the great reception the game got. im a 22 year old male and bloody loved it (still do!)

Now they work on avatars....what should be scrappe...

good point :-)

but then the market dictates what sells a truckload and what doesnt. im always baffled why people buy COD, guitar hero, fifa and smackdown year in year out....last COD game i bought was modern warfare, the others are too much of the same.

What happened to devs respecting each others work too? im sure this has all been blown out of proportion by the 'media' though. If you can call a bunch of bloggers, enthusiasts and corporate sites that...

yes it does.

Otherwise people wouldn't invest in your games if there's no attractive return...

Really? do you manage an online game store? i manage a small (ish) online store for educational video games and i can tell you its a HELL of a lot of work. I have to work with dev's on a daily basis, keep them happy, market the store, source new developers/ products, keep an eye on trends and update the site, ensure all functions work, customer queries, access control, back and front end issues etc. i can go on but i think you get the point :-)

I wouldn't be surprised...

no its not releasing an entire game but if theres just one slip up in terms of quality that can have far reaching repercussions...for all we know they were all set to show portal 2 until some huge glitches popped up. now do they satisfy us and show portal 2 with some rough edges? (fuel to the valve sucks brigade) or do they just wait a little longer to show us something truly slick... after all they are competing with every man and his dog out on the floor. Why not stick it out and make an an...

going to get off their arses and do some work?

How about managing steam? with all the stuff going on there its a pretty mammoth task! Has steam broken on you recently? not on my end is hasnt so well dont valve

Updates? how many devs continue to update and support their games with such a high frequency as valve?

Yes it sucks that we wont see any new games from them at this E3 but theres more than just this show going on...

Val...

Valve dont need to rush ANYTHING. With all the revenue they get from steam, theres no pressure to show certain games at E3 this year. They have the opportunity to really polish their games and make sure there ready. Or would some of you rather their games were rushed out of the gate just for the sake of a press conference?
