If this was the case, then why after such glorified console... former ps1 ps2 and ps3 owners like myself, switched to xbox? I support both of them. But i honestly game more on the Xbox side of things. Got my ps3 for God of war, after I finished it sold.

Kinect is not dead. Whether we like it or not the future of living room entertainment will use the same technology as the kinect. Then everyone will remember Microsoft for being the first major corporation to introduce it to society.
It's a win win situation.
KINECT is still the premium edition of Xbox one. Myself and more than 5M more enjoy it everyday.

From what it seems Sony has been enjoying the early lead they are not bringing a lot of new stuff to E3. Let's be honest... Nothing wrong with indies.... But I don't want to see E3 infested with them. I want God Of War.
Microsoft on the other hand is bringing a battalion to E3. Exclusives, new territories. Price cuts. My bet is they are saving the best for E3.
The Xbox is build like a computer, they can always switch options to make it work without the Kinect.
Why is it so hard to understand that they did not loose confidence? They are just giving fans the option of buying the kinect or not.
And I am sure that at E3 they will unveil even more options.
Microsoft has always been good on Marketing, if they have a product they will find 100 ways to sell it. Plus they always aim to the long term.

They are not in a position to take more loses, so I doubt they will announce a price cut anytime soon.
