The console war is good for the industry. It's what keeps it going.
Sony had the price advantage since release, but they lack on games. Xbox has a very strong library of triple AAA (not indies) games. And this is what people want. This year promises to bring even more games. More territories. China. And a variety of updates that make the Xbox better.

There are no games. Unfortunately. And this is what Microsoft has been focusing on. GAMES. the triple AAA Sony exclusives are coming 2015.

Hype doesn't really cover the fact that Microsoft won last year's e3 in terms of games and that's what it was all about. Sony received so much praise only because of their unbeatable price.
This year promises the same story. Good variety of games from Microsoft.
Eventually the Xbox One will sell great in Japan. Of course it will take time. But Microsoft has the advantage : AAA Games.

Journalist have definitely nothing else to do. The Xbox One is great with or without kinect. Awesome games . Awesome experiences. True. I agree if you want the premium edition of Xbox get the kinect. I personally love it. Without It is still as good. And it's getting even better every month.
