While i agree on Sony's decision to try and unify through Ultra HD and Playstation Now. I believe it will be difficult because 4K is still expensive and will take a few years for "normal" consumers to afford.

That would mean Xbox users could play PS1,2,3 exclusives for the subscription fee, that would be the same subscription fee everyone has to pay. So why not?
Digital content will never beat physical content, until there is no more physical content. Businesses only make digital content cheaper when their physical counterpart are at a lower discount. Personally I hope there will be always be physical content available to buy and play, with or without internet access.
