Maybe i am over thinking it, but cant they just make the % allocated to the Kinect dynamic depending on the game? Would that be hard (just asking, i dont pretend to anything near a coder)
My Personal belief is that this is going to be the norm when it comes to the console reviews for the next few months. Sites like GQ that simply are going for hits or appealing to the people not in the know, like themselves are going to rate the xbox one high based on stuff like skype or snap or kinect, even thought the ps4 is more powerful. Hardcore gaming sites are going rate the ps4 high based on the horsepower and GPU.
Amazingly the other 90% of the people that preordered their ps4 or X1 wont care about this. They will ask about the release date, and the DLC.
But i dont think anyone, even microsoft would pay money and then end up on the short end of the stick with the ps4 being 900p and x1 being 720p and call that parity.
WTF is 1080x720p... how does one get that resolution :-)
Cool, I have been hoping for more announcements like this, some digital content gaming that wont cost 60 bucks
As long as it hits at least 720p i am fine with that. I want the experience and the fun of the games to shine through. Already got AC4, Marvel Super Heroes, BF4, Madden, DR3 preordered and as long nothing to major happens like PSN Hacked level, i will be a happy camper. I have had both systems and have had both systems die on me. Hell I think what would annoy me the most this next gen would be load times, stuttering game play and connection drops.
I am confused. Didn't Microsoft announce first then Sony annouced ps4 then ms had a more game centric event afterwards, e3 or something?
Not that i care much since i am throwing my FPS gaming to Battlefield 4 until the next Halo hits X1, doesnt this speak a little to the developer if Forza, NBA 2K can get to 1080p/60. I dont even think this is a Console power problem but maybe more of a console dev tools that suck problem, the same problem the ps3 had.
Of course it will survive, i just dont understand why Bioware seems so hell bent on making sure Shepard is not in the series. Seems they want to be more generic like Elder Scrolls and Fallout, which to me removes some of the emotional attachment to the series, but i will still play it.
The saddest part I am getting from this is that Sony can share that tidbit of info but Microsoft can't. Its not like Activision told him you don't need to know. Someone at Microsoft told him he didn't need to know.
I never understood the big deal with internet required either. Is there some other way to get patches that i dont know about.
My two cents, until games like Madden, NBA 2K, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, and Battlefield actually stop releasing at the Xbox One or come out missing stuff like Mass Effect 3 did on the Wii U, I dont think there is anything casual about gaming on the xbox one. Sony advantage, is exclusives, which is a great advantage, but it in no way means the Xbox One is for all of sudden for casual gamers. I can be a hardcore gamer and never played the Last of Us, just like Sony gamers can be hard...
Well, now i have a reason to cancel my preorder console. next gen watch dogs was the only thing i was really looking forward to, the rest of launch lineups are just Meh to me now.
Wish the Xbox One had something coming out Digital that is similar to Sony's DCU. Something F2P and a recognized brand...i think this is the part of the Xbox One launch that is wish were a little stronger. I mean damn, how about some Uno, Spades, Pac Man so i dont have to buy the kids retail games.
You turn off my Ps4 or Xb1 in the middle of my gaming and that is an ass whopping in my house. It is understood.
My Favorite titles are Fallout 3, Mass Effect Series, Dragon Age Origins, so yes, while not revolutionary, no loading times are a welcome sight.
Has anyone PS4 or Xbox One mentioned what or when their online games are going to be available, i know ps4 will have DCUO at launch i think, but will State of Decay of Xbox One be out or anything from the previous gens...This launch sure is RPG Lite...
To me it is simple, the multiplats are going to be on par with each other and PS4 will have an advantage in the exclusives department while X1 will have an advantage in entertainment department (tv integration, skype and such) I see it like this, if you want a system for just yourself, you should get a ps4. If you are getting a system for you, your wife and kids to use, then get an X1.
That is a good point the 12 and under crowd that parents need to buy for arent running around complaining about 1080p or 720p...
