Id like to know what fans think the price is right??? Here in Australia Sony is ripping us off! Im waiting on a price drop to buy one. I have bluray in my media center so I dont need it for that. I just want to play Sonys great exclusives. But sorry $700AUD is not worth the price of having that privilege. ( I have other things to spend that amount of cash on before another games console, In my opinion it's just too much)
But while saying that.. I dont see why this Activision guy ...
Most top end smartphones on the market can do this from your PC already..... Setup a server on your PC, use the built in media player to stream from your PC over the internet to your phone anywhere in the world....It is a good idea, but it is not sonys idea. It has been around for a while now...
What error are you getting? Have not read anything about people not being able to log in at all
Optional Media Update and most the arcade game downloads are now working. There are still a few issues with some content and comparing achievements with friends.
Plus the 1 vs 100 download is still not working.
There is content missing from the marketplace and alot of marketplace content is also giving people status code 80070057 when attempting to download. It's not just happening for just a few people its alot of people.(read the xbox forums) Your just not noticing it unless you go to download a particular item
My problem is I did some account switching with my xboxes(the whole licence transfers since the xbox`s in my house have changed rooms) and I cannot reload the optional media u...
The only reason I do not own a PS3 is the price it is here in Australia
Only 1 of my friends have a PS3 and the only reason he owns it is because he took advantage of Sonys free PS3 with a Bravia LCD over 40inch they ran here last year.
The PS3 is a great machine and Id love one but $700AUD??? You can get a 360 Elite for $550AUD. Sony Australia have to be kidding themselves...
iinet ADSL2+ do not count Xbox Live Downloads towards your data usage. and with speeds up to 24,000mbits/s (Im almost 2km from the exchange and download at just over 2MBYTES/s) it should work very well with the new video service.
Just a tip for the aussie Xbox users out there who are worried about data caps.
Games were great. And the good news is most the games are coming out this year. Splinter Cell and Alan Wake looked awesome but my biggest shock was the amount of new things they are bringing to Xbox Live... I would go as far to say Xbox`s best E3 ever. I did not expect so many new features, games and announcements.
lol..I know.. Did the person who posted this even read the article....
No mention of "Zune will NOT intergrate Xbox Live games"
My god this site is getting bad.....
I think you need to research the difference between Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center (there 2 different things). PS3 cannot be used as a Media Center Extender....it can only read Media Player File libraries (or other programs that share file libraries on a network).
EDIT: My mistake you wrote your PS3 as your media hub..... oh well to each there own. But your pretty limited especially that your media hub has no PVR capabilty(unless you live in the uk) and even then i...
I agree Tversity is sluggish and takes a hit on the PC performance. So are most the other transcoding programs I have used. It does the job but I will stick with Media Center(windows 7). Does everything you need quicker and easier + dosent suck my cpu power if someone is watching a video and I want to use the PC.
I can't comment on your above comments about wireless though. I have network cabling throughout my house.
Your thinking of Windows Media Player. Windows Media Center is a different program. (well more of a program that works off media player)
PS3 is not a Windows Media Center Extender. Its just a media extender
What an article! I thought maybe the person who wrote it skewed the words of cnet around..turns out the author of the cnet article has no idea himself!
They write "They talk about the Xbox 360 being a full-on Windows Media Center Extender and network media player. They say the same thing about the PS3, adding that the recent DivX update makes the system 'a more robust media streamer than the 360'."
1st point: The PS3 is NOT a Windows Media Center extender. ...
BAH!! Just when I thought my PS3 purchase was getting close when I read that headline you kill my hopes just as quick... Im waiting for a $150+ price cut..not $10....Sony better hurry up! If I have to wait too much longer Im not going to bother...I have a blu-ray player already in my media center and as much as Id love some of the PS3`s AAA titles, Im not paying $700AUD to play them.
Its all good. Your passionate about your PS3, good for you its a great system with some great games.
In my opinion I think a MMO shooter with 256 players like MAG could be done on the 360. With a mmo alot of the grunt needs to come from the server side of things. Its whether or not MS want to spend the money setting up servers for games like this. If anything they have no excuse why they cannot because they get cash from xbox live gold subscribers. I still refuse to buy final fa...
lol..All I responded to was your comment of "you cant play 256 player games on xbox".
Xbox has quite a few games that use dedicated servers (Phantasy Star online another that just came to mind). I like how you say prove it about the battlefield series... Heres an idea do some research before running your mouth on a subject you obviously know little about. He is correct Battlefield 2: Modern Combat uses EA servers on 360.
I could go on about what else isnt correct ...
Cant play 256 players on 360? ....Final Fantasy???
Another fanboy who doesnt realise both consoles can use P2P or dedicated servers. Its just Xbox chooses to use P2P in most games.
Isnt this the same story that was posted a few months back??? Its another of these dumb articles like "DLC has ruined games", ect. Why do people approve such rubbish?
I didn't think the old wheel was that bad... Sure the brake needed to be stiffer (I fixed that problem myself). And paddle shift only was a let down. And a few more accessible buttons would have been nice, but besides that I found it to be a great wheel and definitely the 2nd best Ive used next to the G25.
I will take a top of the line HTC, Nokia N97 or Samsung OmniaHD(i8910). Far better phones with better features/media playback and no stupid itunes (worse program ever created why people still use it has me beat).
