You own a house and do not own a drill? Are you female? =P
Lol..settle down sunshine I only wrote all that because you did not want someone posting it. (as you stated and Im not really sure why you started chatting about cable in reply to my post to begin with)
Sure in some situations it is not easy but in a lot of cases its not the mammoth job you make it out to be(all weekend? really?). 100`s of feet of cable? for 1 cable run? . If the distance from your router to ...
Everyone mentions the no career mode and no car modifications for the reason behind the bad score but what about the terrible AI. That is also mentioned in the review and its one thing I have hated about the GT series from 1 to 4 (didnt mention GT5P because I have not played it so I cannot comment)
Im waiting to see the NFS:shift scores before I decide which one to get, lack of career mode does not worry me too much...just want a good racer for my PSP when Im away from home. Just...
lol..you make the running a cat5 cable sound like a such hard work.
Cat5 cable is cheap and you can buy it by the meter.
You dont need 100s of feet (unless you live in a castle) you need 1 cable long enough to go from your modem to your Console(with a little slack)
The fact that you can get under your house makes it even easier, and no you do not need council permission.
I also can get under my house and I would say the last point I added took about 45min...
its great isnt it...He gives the go ahead to build one of the fastest fiber networks in the world across all of Australia which is why he got my vote and now he is going to censor the crap out of it..... I want my vote back!
All past N devices can be upgraded via firmware to the latest N spec (and I assume the big companies knew this otherwise so many new devices would not have bothered putting in N hardware and waited for the final tick of approval which has taken forever). So really it is not an excuse.
Even though N hardware has dropped in price drastically over the last 12 months g is still cheaper. Im guessing price was the reason ..selling the PS3 slim at $299 USD, every penny counts for Sony at the ...
Im suprised the PS3 Slim did not upspec to N.
Hardware is cheap enough these days (though MS will make you believe otherwise im sure)
Anyway you can get 802.11N for your 360 or PS3 now.
Good quality Ethernet to Wifi N boxes out there if you look hard enough. All they need is once off setup from your PC to setup then just plug them into the ethernet port of your console and away you go. They act as a wireless link back to your router and your console does not know othe...
Its obvious the PS3 is the winner here fullstop. Blu-ray is the ultimate home theater format (and only HD format now HDDVD is dead)
As for PS3 being a better media player. Im sorry but anyone with a PC with Windows 7 + a couple of HDTV tuners inside the PC + Xbox360 Media Center knows the 360 is the ultimate media player.
Anyone who disagrees obviously has not tried it.
The fangirls seem to forget the 360 is a media center extender.
HDTV+TVGuide+PVR, HD ...
People seem to forget your also getting all of Halo 3 multiplayer. So anyone who dosent own Halo 3 will still be able to go online and play multiplayer games with Halo 3 players (obviously they cant play the original campaign co-op)
So really your getting the whole Halo 3 MP, ODST SP/co-op and firefight.
If you do not own Halo 3 that is great value.
Go to you tube and type "Halo ODST leaked". There is much better looking footage on there and alot more of it. Much clearer and ripped from 720p WS
Well I still play Halo3 until this day and the graphics dont bother me. Sure its no crysis/killzone 2 in the looks department but its a great game. These videos are hard to go off because they are filmed in 4:3 and the quality is really poor compared to other official videos on the web.
Id rather have this to fill in the time (and Im sure firefight will) then have to wait years for one of my favorite FPS to release another full sequel. As long as its fun (and it looks like it is)...
sorry tachyon. Edited the french bit out of my comment. Noticed there were English subtitles so Im assuming he might know how to read....I stress the "might"
So HipHop since the footage you are showing is from the illegal french version of the game that has leaked on to torrents sites I can assume either
a) You downloaded the pirated game and are giving opinions from a pirated version of it or
b) You have not even played it and are basing your opinions on a poor quality video that a pirate has posted.
And whoever is playing on the video is playing on easy and really does suck at Halo.
I hope someone rep...
So does that mean the PS2 shouldnt be in the top 10? It also was a broken system (well the original PS2 anyway, drive problem was finally fixed with the slim) yet many will argue it should be at Number 1(And if this was based just on games available/units sold I would agree with them)
The Xbox had Xbox Live and Halo. Both some of my best gaming memories so def a top 10 for me.
I think I enjoyed my snes more than any other console so my top 5 would be:
1. SNES
2. Xbox360
3. Xbox
4. N64
5. PS2
Note: In the PS2`s defence my disc drive died around the 13 month mark and I went and purchased an xbox so never did get it fixed. (Dont worry fangirls my Xbox360 has died once too, Im not having a dig just explaining why PS2 dosent rank up there for me).
Australian Pricing:
PS3 Slim = $499 AUD
Xbox360 Elite + Halo ODST = $449 AUD after price drop ( from 22 sept down here )
At the moment $299USD = $357AUD
Once again Sony Australia has failed us.... well done the rest of the world..your Sony region is not run by greedy mindless morons.
The 54% failure rate is a stupid figure because the launch 360`s failure rate was much higher than 54% (100% failure rate for the people I know) But everyone I know who has a newer console (anything with HDMI) has had no problems except 1 person who kept getting disc read errors and that was only after a few days so warranty covered it.
Never will I defend MS on RROD because the launch 360 failure rate is just outrageous. But at the same time Im not going to tell people not to bu...
As much as I love my 360(my console of choice).. Everyone I know who had a mkI 360 has had rrod.
The only thing that compares to 360mkI failure rates is maybe the PS2mkI disk drive failures. And even then Im pretty sure RROD takes the cake as biggest failure rate in console history. The only thing I will give MS kudo`s for over sony in my experience is they gave us the 3 years warranty on rrod. Sony didnt want to know about the PS2`s dodgy drive(which was convenient for them beca...
lol , love the replies. Was not having a go at PS3 users by the way. More a dig at how pointless this article is. Pointless news deserves pointless comments such as mine.
Those who do not use there PS3 for blu-ray movies are missing out. Love my blu-ray player.
53% of PS3 owners masturbate to hi-def porn.
GOW3 has a fixed camera that zooms in and out. That is 180 degrees of game world that does not need to be shown until the next camera angle or scripted camera rotation.
GOW3 with no fixed camera and those graphics, then I would have been impressed. Still the fixed camera seems to work well with the last 2 games + PSP version so why change a good thing.
Not hating on it at all, just saying I think UC2 is still king from what I have seen in terms of getting the most out of t...
