Elden Ring is out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
Still, 17,5 million is extremely impressive number being a FromSoftware game, but so os the 23 million GoW sales being a shorter singleplayer game.

Is this the case with Elden Ring aswell? Is it obvious that Elden Ring which has been one of the most hyped game for years, available on all important platforms, outsells the exclusive Ragnarök?
Sounds like you played around to much with accessibility, because during my Platinum round, I barely got any help at all. Only whe. i got stuck, but not the obvious help. More like "hmm, I wonder if your axe could help here" or by just standing still and looking at a direction where you're supposed to do something.

You are mentioning specific categories, and with that said, The Game Awards also give loads of awards to indies in some categories.
However I agree that the Game of the Year award should go to the game which is actually the best game of the year, which is rarely an indiegame.

Ragnarök is one of the best games ever made, in any category, so be soundtrack, gameplay, level design, voiceactors, graphics, accessibility etc.
It doesn't matter how hard you try, Ragnarök is a masterpiece.

So you're trying to say that shooters use the buttons more than the right stick?
I rarely use anything else than both thumbsticks, L3, R3, L1, L2, R1 and R2 while playing shooters or first person games.
To be frank, most games I can think of right now, use the right analog stick more than the buttons.
With that said, I am fond of both my Xbox Elite controller ans DualSense controllers, even thou I prefer DualSense.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was (is still) console exclusive, but can be released on Xbox if SE so chose to.
Final Fantasy XVI has also been announced as console exclusive, but it's "always" timed, when writing that, until the company or the title is bought by another company.
