Kid, why do you keep bringing up Forspoken to attempt but hilariously fail to make a point or are you trying to upset me? I'm not a console owner!

My comments are backed up by Microsofts own internal reports, call up Satya if you have an issue with what I'm saying and spout your desperate ramblings to him.

I'm a gamer watching an industry I love being brought up and consolidated by one company, your absolute lack of understanding on anything b...

No, Xbox is a division of Microsoft, and guess what happens to divisions that don't hit targets and have low to no growth, they get cut.
We've already seen that this year with Xbox as Microsoft made cuts because Azure revenue is lower than expected causing a drop in Microsoft share price, that resulted in cuts at Xbox as they are expendable arm of MS because of the little to no growth on the platform.

In Microsofts own words Games pass is cannibalising game sales, you think expanding Games pass reach is going to make that better buy even less people buying games?!?!

"With Nintendo and NVidia support alone, Xbox games will reach more than 150 Million gamers worldwide."

Why do you think this deal hasn't already happened if it so lucrative to Activision's finances?

Wow, please do a little research before committing and look what happens to low performing sectors at Microsoft, which Xbox is one... Why do you think Xbox was one of the areas chosen for job cuts when MS was trying to keep its stock price from falling?

... also I have no hate for Xbox, I save it for Microsoft, the company that in it's own words is cannibalising game sales.

With the money spread thin because of games pass where do you think investment for new games is going to come from? Bethesda had PC, Xbox and PlayStation, now it only has PC paying full price, on Xbox they have to share the pool of cash with every other studio... and CEO and shareholders, and if they don't get their money we've seen what happens, job cuts in Microsofts least profitable and no/low growth areas one of which is Xbox.

Not to mention what consolidation l...

... you do know if MS hadn't purchased Bethesda those games would have had the revenue from Steam, Xbox and PlayStation. I'm sorry understand how sales and money work, and now like I said Bethesda now need to find a new revenue stream.

Sony's their biggest console platform, was the same with Bethesda games too.

Skyrim Special Edition. (first week sales)
PlayStation 4 589,449
Xbox One. 349,285

Fallout 4 (first week sales)
PlayStation 4. 3,010,966
Xbox One. 1,729,944

Now with Gamespass Bethesda games need to find a new revenue stream, otherwise bye, bye.

This is something I'm good with, MS funding and developing a game with a third party.

What I don't support is MS buying up multiplatform publishers to remove them from competing systems. Stop spending billions to take games away, spend it on making content that wouldn't otherwise exist.

@Asplundh

Your examples were games that Sony helped with development costs, I'm talking about entire publishers.

It's like comparing a single brick to an entire house and calling it the same "the difference is scale". Your lack of understanding isn't my issue, but it is funny

Another kid that can't tell the difference between entire publishers and single games, go play Forknife

Not making any games, just paying tens of billions to remove others access to multiplatform publishers and deciding who is and isn't allowed to play. Masterful

To be honest Xbox users on N4G don't care that MS is making nothing, spending billions on games that they where already getting and cannibalizing sales of said games.

@obscure_Observer

The only game you've listed that MS had any hand in making is Forza and would have been the only game release if it hadn't been for MS's ban hammer on Bethesda titles.
All other games on your list MS paid 7 billion to remove from competition and yet again only highlight what titles will be cannibalized by Gamespass. Hi-Fi Rush, Redfall, and Starfield have all lost the income of Bethesda's biggest money maker in console market and ...

I've never witnessed such delusion as what the MS fanboys spout, your games list hasn't a single exclusive and all it does is highlight what games will be cannibalized by Gamespass.

Tax dodging mega corporations buying up entire industries has never been a positive for the consumer, from Airlines, ISP's to food, the only people that have ever benefited are CEO's and shareholders, if you're not one of them you will lose out. This type of market consolidat...

Do you think that Steam, the only platform that Starfield is going to make money on outside of it's gamepass cut (which MS said is cannibalising game sales) will make a good return on the investment? It's been developed as a multiplatform title that was meant to be released on multiple systems, now it's only getting a full price release on one.

They better hope this sells well on PC as MS has banned it's sale on what was Bethesda's biggest revenue maker in the console market. This and every future Bethesda title is going to need the PC crowd to make up the shortfall.

Unfortunately it's the people at the top that make the decisions, the CEO's, shareholders and people like Todd Howard who made an estimated $150 million from the deal couldn't give a crap what happens to Bethesda, they've made their money.

It the workers that will lose their jobs because of these deals I feel for, and the IP's we all lose along the way.

So your 100% fine with Xbox being one of the divisions being cut, good to know

For people that don't know MS is firing people in HoloLens, Surface, and Xbox because of slow growth in Azure. Azure’s growth has slowed to 35% from 50% a year prior, it's still growing and they are still making unbelievable amounts of money from it, but it hasn't grown fast enough. With this MS's share price has fallen and to protect it they are making cuts to their least profita...
