Steam gets a cut of all sales on its platform, of course they'll take the exclusive, that's not making the point you think it is.
Rage all you want, GamePass is not yet a viable model to make Bethesda games exclusive to Xbox, that may change with the Activision buyout. But until it does I'll keep supporting Bethesda on steam and making GamePass unviable.

I'm supporting keeping Bethesda games on competing PC storefronts and also keeping GamePass an unviable option. Until MS can support these games with GamePass money I shall keep buying them from other platforms.

Vasco's the best, has no problems with my hording... or stealing.
The more I play this game the more average it gets, I'll still finish it but it'll take some good mods to bring me back... also some of the worst companions in a while, I stick with Vasco as the robot is the least annoying
It's almost as if thats the plan. Buy up the industry, make it to expensive to compete, make the cost of entry into the industry too high for anyone new, then charge what you want. This is what happens with consolidation, it's happened to your food, internet providers, airlines, energy companies, fuel, cars, phone networks, etc... but consolidation is great for price gouging, above inflation price rises and profits and payouts.
I don't think it's going to happen as only one platform is paying full price and that platform as of right now has double the amount of people currently playing Baldurs Gate 3 then Starfield also Starfield is currently fallen to a 75% rating on Steam.
