the tone of voice in which someone says something is critical, and capturing that in writing is no easy task, as it can be easily interprated differently by readers.From reading that article, it would seem that Tretton was boasting and bragging about PS3's capabilites in an arrogant manner, when actualy if you watched E3 live like myself, you would have seen that his statement was not boastful and was simply talking about various points on mgs.
I had hoped this rumor was dead and buried...apparently not.
If you want to play metal gear solid real bad, how about this, go buy yourself a PS3 and a copy of the game, play it and decided what you want to do with your PS3, maybe it will have changed your opinion on the console and you will kepp it, bagging yourself an excellent piece of gaming hardware and a high def movie player, or maybe your not happy with it and prefer gaming on your 360 with it's equally fantastic lineupof...
Who claimed so confidently that they where going to outsell the Ps3 this generation, that's a pretty huge hole he dug himself.
On a side note, what I was angered at yesterday during Microsofts conference was how they had all these stats about how thier beating the PS3 or how thier beating the Wii, where as both nintendo and Sony, simply stated thier numbers and didnt compare it to others or brag about beating others in one section.
E3 is a media and business summit now, it's now focused at the stats and the sales and breifly what future plans are, unlike previous E3s.
So now things like TGS are where they really get to show thier games because that sort of show is all about the games, expect lots from Sony there!

and PS3 will probably be the better version as it has been developed there for a number of years, and the 360 version will be a port, thats not saying the xbox version will be bad though.
plus the PS3 will still have just one disk, but kudos to MS for getting it, the brown envelope must have been huge (joke)

When the PS3 drops in price, to around £200 it will fly off shelves, there are so many people just waiting, it's a brand name, everyone who is not "tech savvy" call all consoles a playstation, all my elders call the my xbox a playstation, it's much more of a household name than the xbox is and that I personally think is what give Sony the edge.
I cannot wait till Sonys E3 press conference (and Microsofts too)

I'd rather just play games that are ment for the console like uncharted and metal gear solid and if I wanted to play a SNES or genesis that bad I go into my attic and get them down. lol
What matters is what game is better and im pretty sure its going to stay with Singstar and even if Lips is better, Singstar will still wipe the floor with sales (PS2- like the only game people buy on the PS2 nowadays)
There is enough already on your screen without a giant window showing someones facail expression to getting killed. Also it wouldnt exactly be great on peoples bandwidths either.
However, having the option there wouldn't hurt, just aslong as normal voice chat is there too!
And they should offer it free to other people who have already bought the Wii, because they have now broken thier market significantly, do developers develop using this new add on or with out it?
