Well i doubt it would be another story since it had forerunner stuff in the trailer and featured the Master Chief, looked like the Didact to me and that he was looking for Cortana when he was holding her data disc in his hand.
Maybe he was looking for the pieces of the Didacts space ship that fell earth which had Cortana in it.

He voices him horribly in the Lost Frontier and in Playstation All Stars. Gosh I hope they don't keep him on for Jak 4 although I bet they want someone with mo cap acting experience.
